Linkin Park MOH video launches

Tons of new campaign footage offered.

Linkin Park's new song "The Catalyst" was world premiered yesterday in a brand new Medal of Honor trailer.

Whether or not you like the rock band shouldn't overshadow the large chunk of campaign footage on offer.

Watch as Dusty - the bearded bloke - and friends escape a Taliban attack in an Afghan village, fly helicopters, drive trucks and generally do some war without looking perturbed.

Medal of Honor will be released on 15th October for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

    That song actually wasn't half bad until it turned in to a cheese fest ballad at the end.

    Either way the game is looking lovely, I'll definitely give it a shot.

    And to think I once loved LP. I remember making custom maps for Far Cry while listening to the first album over and over. Days long since gone.

    I really dislike the direction this game is going. It's in danger of trivialising/simplifying conflicts that are still ongoing.
    COD campaign, for all it's jingoism was still just bombastic and not really trying to root itself in the real world.

    Forgot to add, that song fits the game footage like my wifes wedding dress fits me. ie it doesn't.

    What the hell is up with the production in this song?? All the effects sound like default settings on a microkorg synth - plus the beat in the bridge section simply does not work. The only bit that saves it is the ending, which I thought was pretty cool - nice chord progression there.

    Disappointed in most of the song to be honest. I heard that they held a competition for fans to actually create the instrumentation section of the song...and this is the best they came up with! Anyways, the game looks promising, hopefully the solo campaign should be pretty gripping.

    It does seem to be heading that way. CoD, for all it's jingoistic claptrap, is at least firmly rooted in fiction and seems to make a point of being firmly on the Tom Clancy side of war reportage.

    As for the video, it seemed a bit of a mistep for both parties; in that it was a shite trailor for a game, and a shite video for a rock song.

    Oh wow MW clone does music video ala Eminem and MW2.
    Except the song is complete shite and theres only 2 seconds of blurry in-game footage.

    Im so hyped for MoH now Iv seen this! God I wish devs would stop doing cgi trailers... It makes zero impact on my decision to like the game at all.

    the way these games treat war and death is starting to get disturbing... i think the developers should take a deep breath :-\
    that an american games player is going to love this, theres no doubt, because they dont know better... but outside...hmmm

    I for one thought this actually looked pretty awesome. I wasn't expecting much from EA's knee jerk reaction to Activision's COD. But this game looks better from the trailers and game footage.

    Please be better than COD. :D

    COD4 was good. MW2 was wanktastic and overhyped by hordes of chavs.

    If this is BFBC2 with substance, then i'm in. BC2 multiplayer felt much more entertaining.

    As for the song.... Linkin Park lost their way long ago, before they sold out to the transformers movies and stuff. Pretty sad really. They try and sound more like Pendulum and less like an actual rock band. Shame on them!
