Line Rider for Wii, DS
Etch-A-Sketch sledge-mania.
Californian developer inXile has announced the development of popular Internet game Line Rider for the Wii and DS, with a scheduled release date of spring 2007.
Created by Bostjan Cadez, the game lets you pencil out ramps, hills and jumps, before letting a cleverly physics-programmed sledder career head-first down your course.
"I have been around the interactive entertainment industry long enough to have seen similar phenomenon like Tetris and Bejeweled become massive international hits, and Line Rider has all the elements to do the same," said inXile CEO Brian Fargo. "Line Rider is like a fully animated Etch-A-Sketch and will be perfect for the Nintendo DS and Wii."
The original has proved to be an immense hit with deranged YouTube users, who have created more than 11,000 videos which in turn have produced over 15 million views.
"Line Rider is becoming one of the most popular flash games on the web," reckoned Time.com, while The Wall Street Journal called the game, "Online gamers' new addiction."
Head over to the Line Rider website and put a virtual snow-reveller's life in peril while you're waiting for the Nintendo versions.

Besides, you can probably play the flash version on your Wii through Opera anyway.

Yep, when I was sat at Logan Airport last year for 5 hours playing Zoo Keeper I was thinking to myself...
"why DID I pay $25 for this? I could be playing it on my PC for free"

really? a publisher showed interest in Cave Story? if that's true then it's an absolute travesty that nothing's come of it.
