LEGO Rock Band track-list revealed News

DS Xbox 360 PlayStation 3 Wii
News by Tom Bramwell

13 October, 2009

Warner Bros. has announced the 45-strong track listing for LEGO Rock Band, which is due out later this year.

The publisher also said that it will be possible to import songs from the game into other "Rock Band Music Platform" titles - presumably the main Rock Band releases, rather than offshoots like Beatles.

A "nominal export fee" will be involved in doing so, as it was for importing Rock Band 1 songs into Rock Band 2. We're asking Warner how much it will be.

LEGO Rock Band owners will also have access to any songs on the Rock Band Music Store that have been rated "suitable for all ages", since it's a family affair.

See below for the full track list on PS3 and Xbox 360, followed by the shorter DS one.

Other news resources have confirmed with HMX that the export key will cost double of the RB1 export key, meaning 9.99$. It's great that all tracks are exportable, though!

Maybe i'm no longer down with the kids etc... but doesn't the track listing seem like it's been put together for people who are from an older generation. I'll be surprised if most kids under 14 know more than 50% of these artists. Still be alright for the old folks like me.

You don't necessarily need to know the song to enjoy things like the Final Countdown.
I'm sure kids would have just as much fun singing along to it.

@keyboardmonkey It's not particularly just for the kids (like Activision's Fallout Boy and Taylor Swift filled Band Hero) , it's for the whole family, so the songs are fun and easy to get into and don't contain mature-only ideas in their lyrics.

Bit short this tracklist, or maybe it's just that Rock Band 2 has spoiled us so. Some great tracks there nontheless.

For what I anticipated being a bit too kid friendly, the track list isn't half bad! One to rent and import me thinks :o)

Loads of fun tracks.

Can you just rent/borrow this and import the tracks? Or is it just one key per game or something annoying like that?

It's using the one key per game like the track packs.

@cianchristopher: Perhaps you should think a little harder? Perhaps consider the market of the previous Lego games? ;)

@ varsas

No plans for the Wii version to have an export function at the minute but it could change when RB3 arrives.

Also, I'm not sure where the link was but there was a pretty good chart showing that half the tracks were from the '00 Era and the rest were from the 60's to the 90's. Its a solid list though and I think the RRP is around £30-£35 anyway so the damage from the export isnt awful on your wallet anyway

/Can we have Caught By The Fuzz for regular RB DLC please?

I thought the RB1 export key was a one-off due to a licensing oversight and wouldn't apply to future RB games?
