LEGO Potter demo next week

"Yer made of blocks, Harreh."

Warner will unleash an Xbox 360 demo of LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 on Monday, 7th June.

Samplers for PC and PS3 arrive later this month.

LEGO Harry Potter is made by Traveller's Tales of LEGO Star Wars, LEGO Batman and LEGO Indiana Jones fame. This can't really go too far wide of the mark, then.

The full game's due out on 25th June.

Weasely the best LEGO game so far?

Lego games are my guilty pleasure.

When are TT going to do something that isn't Lego-based again?

They're a decent studio (and they reside in Maidenhood, so they're local to me, so I feel I should support them) but there's only so much amusing Lego based action that one can take.

I am quietly hoping this will be good. The LEGO games amuse me.

... are they based off the books or the movies?

I've already played the demo of this. It was a long one that had Starwars, Indiana Jones, and Batman in it.

    Good though.

It would be nice to see them making other games but I don't see the LEGO series of games ending soon because they are very good especially for the younger gamers.

I don't know really. Like Mkwone, Lego games are my guilty pleasure too. Mrs Penguin likes them as well, so I'm sure we'll end up with this one to add to the pile ;)

Yay! Been looking forward to this game, loved LEGO Batman so I'm sure I'll enjoy this.

Gotta disagree with that too, the gameplay is all very samey but I still really love playing through each game. Fun to play, great co-op and loads of unlockables. Really can't wait for Lego Star Wars III at the end of the year too.

Perhaps it's best they stick to Lego games?

After all didn't TT make the tie in for the first Transformers film?

    Looks pretty good.

What these games have stumbled across, is a very rewarding and uplifting experience for the gamer. I love the humour, the easy going game play and the exploration of them. If there is something that the industry have exhausted in games during recent years, it's dark, gritty, 'kill-everything-that-moves', mastodon FPS games. I welcome any game that stand on their own legs, does its own thing and doesn't give a taste of blood in your mouth!

    I can't wait!

Is cheeky_Grizzly a good name? Probably less thought went into it than Years 1-4 to be fair...

Anyway, if the demo is charming, uplifting, amusing and fun, I'll buy it. They always make me giggle, and not enough games do that. I suppose Jak and the Ratchet games are funny, but those take up a very small percentage. Abes Odyssey was kinda funny. And a couple of Rare games... Any other funny games out there anyone?

Actually its TT Games that are in Maidenhead near you and they do the publishing and PR side of things.

The games are made by Travellers Tales up in Knutsford, Cheshire.

Nothing guilty about it, the Lego games are a pleasure! Played Batman with the missus and it was great fun. Nice casual games you can have a few cans with and it won't really matter.

Looking forward to seeing how they inject some of the usual humour on the darker scenes to detract.

    @AnsemsApprentice
I think his point was that Years 1-4 implies that there will be a 5-7, and then most likely a "complete saga".
You could simply wait three years and buy the inevitably superior version.

But that's a long way off, and the same could be said for practically every game these days. How long before we see a 'Red Dead Redemption: GoTY version'?

Oh I guess I interpreted "Is "Years 1-4" a good name" as... "Is "Years 1-4" a good name"
