LEGO Indiana Jones gets date

Play.com has revealed LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures will be out this summer.

It will be playable at Play.com Live, which takes place at Wembley Stadium on 15th and 16th March. According to the latest press release about the event, the game will be "on sale June 6th on all consoles". That's PC, PS2, PS3, PSP, Xbox 360, Wii and DS, to be specific.

Activision is declining to confirm or deny the 6th June date. However, a Top Secret Senior Games Industry Source told Eurogamer 6th June is indeed when the game is due to hit the shops. LEGO Batman will follow later in the year, apparently.

Tickets for Play.com Live are on sale now, priced at GBP 6 for adults and GBP 3 for children. That will buy you the chance to try out "the latest computer games" and watch "the hottest groups", and win prizes such as a new LCD telly and GBP 5000 in Play.com vouchers.

The event will be hosted by TV presenter and long time gamer Iain Lee, and Gemma Atkinson, who was in Hollyoaks, has breasts and doesn't know you're supposed to put your index fingers on the shoulder buttons. Can't blame her though, it's all about the dollar bills. I've been on X-League.

I think Iain needs a speech bubble next to him saying "durrrr ya Joey"

I would be mildly interested in this Play exibition thing if it wasn't hosted by two extremely annoying people and I had a bit more notice for it.

Sod the presenters. Lego Indy! Ghostbusters! Lego Batman! Tom Baker!

Play are notorious at release dates. They had Rogue Galaxy listed as February last year...only seven months early. I'd want better confirmation.

Hope the PS3 version can look as sharp as the 360 version, star wars was a tad fuzzier/lower res looking on the PS3 (I had a 360 and I now have a PS3 so this isn't made up biased BS).

Will be buying this (and batman in the autumn), played lego star wars to death on the 360 with my lady, great fun.

Unless developers use the ps3's cell processor properly your going to see a lot of fuzzy textures in multiplatform games on the ps3. Uncharted really did show what you can do with textures on the ps3 if you actually use the ps3's cell processor properly.

I don't know who's behind this Play.com Live thing but it's obviously gonna flop

I heard that this game is now actually finished so why will it not be out until June? I would love to meet the plonker who decides release dates and get my good friend Bujinjai to ram a fennel sausage up their buttski.
