Legal spat over Baja cover settled
Back to the drawing board for Acti-Blizz.
Activision-Blizzard has agreed to redraw the box art for SCORE International Baja 1000, after THQ complained that the packaging looked too similar to Baja: Edge of Control.
Both depicted a buggy and an air-bound truck in identical formation; a similarity THQ argued would confuse everybody. Apparently THQ had also "exhausted all reasonable efforts" to get Activision-Blizzard to change the art "voluntarily".
According to Patentarcade.com, the case has now been closed; THQ was apparently satisfied enough with the outcome to withdraw the legal complaint.
Baja: Edge of Control is out now for Xbox 360 and PS3, but isn't very good.
SCORE International Baja 1000 doesn't appear to be getting a European release, which, judging by US critical reception, makes sense.

Im pretty sure the game called "World Championship Off Road Racing" under your release roundup article is this game wich is due tomorrow. Come on Rob must try harder.
Edit: I tried to put in links showing the two exact same covers except for the name change put the links got messed up every time.

Well yeah, I can imagine that anyone buying it looking for some buggy racing fun would be confounded by the wrestling gameplay found therein

I thought that too, but after some closer inspection, that link is a review round-up. The Baja review is on page 2, still they could have linked to that page I suppose.
