Left 4 Dead 2: The Passing gets tagline
Plus: details on what happens.
Valve has revealed the tagline for Left 4 Dead 2 downloadable add-on The Passing, and with it some big news about the original Left 4 Dead survivors.
At this point though there's no more release date information available beyond the previously discussed March timeframe.
When we say "big news", by the way, we do mean that Valve has ventured into spoiler territory. We've been careful not to do that ourselves on the homepage, so if you want to experience The Passing without knowing too much in advance, we suggest you don't continue reading and instead go find something else to occupy you, like our Left 4 Dead 2 review.
Still with us? Fair enough. The tagline was revealed on Gametrailers TV by Valve's Chet Faliszek, and it's "Nobody Survives Forever".
As you may know, The Passing is an add-on for L4D2 in which the current crop of survivors encounter their equivalents from the first game. The headline news is that one of the original survivors has died. According to Faliszek, The Passing sees the two groups come together just after the unnamed survivor's death.
Valve has also previously said that a separate Left 4 Dead 1 add-on will be released after The Passing, and Faliszek revealed that in that episode, "one of you will have to do what happens, and one of you will die".

I reckon it'll be Louis. My train of thought is completely innocent, but other people may not see it the same way. So I'll keep schtum.

How so? I am by no means saying additional content is bad, but how exactly does it reward those who own both games? If they really wanted to reward those people, a more prominent crossover would be preferred; perhaps a campaign where L4D1 owners can play against/with L4D2 owners.
'Sides, they're pretty much saying "no more L4D1 DLC for you, guys!" by killing off one of the survivors.

I guess what I mean is, if you're a true fan of L4D you end up getting the complete story with this crossover rather than just half. Plus it also breathes some life into the old dog - albeit with a dose of terminality, as you say.

I guess.
