PlayStation 3 News by Ellie Gibson

3 November, 2009

LittleBigPlanet will reach its first birthday this month and Media Molecule is releasing some new content to celebrate.

As reported on the MM website, you can download a new Birthday Cake Costume for one week only. Plus the much-loved Space Suit Costume, originally available at launch, is being re-released.

On top of that there's some new birthday wallpaper, suitable for use on your PC, PS3, PSP or mobile.

All of the above are freee. The costumes will be available on Thursday 5th November. Happy birthday, LittleBigPlanet.

I missed the space suit the first time, so now will be a good time to catch it!

Just gotten started on this game and am actually quite hooked. there's lots in it to keep you going and I haven't even purchased any DLC yet.
Initially got this for my girl but I think I play it more than she does. :-\ Will pick this up for sure.

Inspired by playing Uncharted 2, Heavy Rain and God of War 3 on PS3 at the Expo, yesterday I bought a PS3...with LBP...

Will be interested to see what it's all about...

I haven't fired up LBP in months. After completing the game, I'm not really feeling the need to go through and collect the hard to reach things, especially those where you need two players. I'll probably still download the free content though, just because...

I still rate this game highly, but it's in dire need of some official MM-developed level packs to introduce some new features and bring lapsed payers (like myself) back to the fold. Sure, there are some great user-created levels out there, but I think MM has perhaps been guilty of letting the community do all the work whilst they churn out costume and sticker packs.

The Metal Gear Solid level pack was brilliant and LBP deserves more of that sort of thing.

I got this game on launch and have nearly all the free stuff and have the mgs pack too.

I'm just wondering if they're going to surprise us with that new water feature that has been talked about, I have my fingers crossed,
This game just keeps on giving, It's the only game i regulary go back to to see what new levels have been created by the network of p.s.n users.
I'm to believe that some of the gamers that have created these levels have been snapped up by Media Molecule to help them in the future.

In the game of the year edition, some of those levels was added to the disc with the likes of the Bunker level, how cool is that for the creators of these levels to have them forever burned onto a bluray lol .
