Lanning wants Oddworld Xbox on Steam News
PC Xbox News by Tom Bramwell
The first two games in the Oddworld series have been released on Steam and Oddworld Inhabitants' Lorne Lanning has said he hopes to add more in future.
"Steam is the now the easiest way for gamers to reconnect with our classic games and we hope to get the rest of the Oddworld Xbox games onto the Steam Network in the not too distant future," Lanning told Eurogamer.
That would be good news for anyone who missed out on Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee - an Xbox 1 launch title in 2001 - or Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath.
Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus - both of which were originally released on PSone and PC in the late '90s - cost USD 9.99 apiece on Steam or USD 14.99 for the pair.
"We've been hounded to get the Abe PC games available once again. Now finally, ten years after the first Abe release, both Abe's Oddysee and Abe's Exoddus are now up on Valve's Steam digital distribution network... And we couldn't be more thrilled!" Lanning told us.
"We love the way Steam allows us to connect directly to our audience, cutting out the middlemen to offer our library of games at an enticingly low price and without the many hassles of retail. Long live Steam!"
