Korean StarCraft teasers surface
Could they be related to SCII launch?
A series of three South Korean teaser adverts has emerged, hinting at pre-launch hype for the release of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty.
The three humorous TV adverts all carry Korean Air branding, but are clearly themed around StarCraft's three races: Protoss, Terran, and Zerg.
Each ad ends with the words "D-DAY 2010.05.22".
Don't get excited. Korean Air is the headline sponsor of a StarCraft e-sports league - the OnGameNet StarCraft League 2010 - and the date is much more likely to refer to finals, or some sort of special event or publicity stunt, than the release date for the game.
Blizzard has yet to announce a date beyond saying that it will ship in the first half of this year; for the control-freak developer to let it slip in such an unorthodox manner is unlikely to say the least.
StarCraft pro gaming is certainly a big enough draw in South Korea to merit TV advertisement, however, and the e-sports scene will doubtless play its part in unprecedented publicity for the game around its launch.
Watch the teasers, though. They're fun.

It has happened in the past - the release date for Wrath of the Lich King was published on WoWHead.com before the official announcement.
