Kojima "obsessing" about next game

Hideo Kojima has admitted to fantasising about his next game, despite having his plate full with Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.

"I still have loads of work for PW, but my mind is in 'The Next Title Mode,'" tweeted Kojima.

"This is bad. I have to get my mind set on PW. I think about it without noticing, obsessing over it, unconsciously smiling and getting excited. Once again, thinking about 'The Next Title.'"

In an earlier tweet, he said:

"I'm pondering over the next project's voice cast. I still do not have the details embedded, but everything is running simultaneously in my head. The title, game design, story, characters, setting, mechs, casting, direction of the graphics, sound, beginning & ending, and key story sequences. It all moulds together naturally in my head."

Peace Walker will be released in June and Kojima Productions has already announced the development of Metal Gear Solid: Rising, although Kojima himself will take a back seat on that game's production.

    and let me guess, it will be the Metal Gear Solid game he said he wouldn't make. after the game ships, he will announce that he will never work on another MGS title. 6 months later, he'll announce the next.

    as much as i love the games, i wish hideo would just stfu already.

    The man's an arse. He left first person mode out of the original MGS release because he personally gets motion sick, had the "Meryl's codec on the back of the box" thing because he thought it was "cool" and created Raiden because a girl wrote to him saying she didn't want to play as an old man again in MGS 2.

    EDIT: -18? Wow. I bet all you downvoters are really upset that the pages are stuck together in your Big Book Of Hideo Kojima.

    Got burnt by the god awful MGS4 so nothing less than a sequel to the awesome ZoE2 will get me interested in Kojima again. Maybe I'd settle for another Boktai/Lunar Knights game aka the metal gear game with vampires that was awesome and everyone ignored.

    I agree with cianchristopher. I was trying to watch MGS4 but it kept wanting me to move the main actor about. I was like, wtf?They didn't ask me to do this in James Bond

    He's not actually working on Castlevania. It's a spanish team working on the game. Kojima Productions will be slapped on to the front of the box to give it some extra weight at retail. He probably has as much to do with the next castlevania game as Quentin Tarantino has to do with all those 'presented by quentin tarantino' films.

    I bloody hope so! I'm actually looking forward to playing Castlevania and not sitting through 30mins of self indulgent cutscene to play for 10mins only to watch another cutscene.

    That and hopefully the main character won't simply repeat the last line spoken to him in a conversation albeit with a different inflection.

    MGS4 was an absolute turd of a game but I've enjoyed everything else he has done other than Portable Ops but that was due to poor controls. I just can't get over how he got everything so right with MGS3 but went back to MGS2, took all its flaws and multiplied them.

    cmon guys stop bashing mgs4,do you hate it so much?? give it a relax,any man with half a brain will know after reading the article (mechs) that its gona be ZOE3.and i for one cant wait for it.i absolutely loved ZOE2,loved it to bits.ZOE1 was my first ps2 game,ive got a loyalty to that franchise. now give me ZOE3 in all its ps3 goodness. ow yeah please kojima,release peace walker on a home console too,please.ive never bothered with the psp and non of my friends have either

    plz make, metal gear solid: psycho mantis. no wait make a psuedo remake of mgs 1, where you play as liquid snake, and the gamplay is similiar to evl genius, you have to organise your genome soldiers, provide them with faclitiess, keep them well feed on rations and cold medicine, build trap doors etc, all while taking a break to impersonate master miller and shoot down enemy jets in your hind d
