I'd say Another World was a piece of art. Every aspect of it was one man's uncompromised vision. Not to reopen the old can of worms, but all videogames involve pieces of art, even if they can't always (and usually can't) be considered art in and of themselves. But just because the gallery isn't art, doesn't mean the art within isn't either. And that includes galleries full of crap art, of which there are many.

I know in essence, a designer is meant to step back and think of the audience to make design decisions, but all I take from this is that he was fortunate enough to be in the main audience for a game he has worked on. If the question would have been "name the 5 most influential games", then I would agree with you. |

But then I read the article and found out it was pretty much pulled out of the air. I think there's a huge difference between saying your own game was memorable and saying your own game was one of the top 5 games ever. |
