Nothing says 'sensibly camouflaged soldier' like a grunt with glowing orange eye lamp thingies ;-). Might as well paint a glowing orange target on their back and front.
It does look purdy though. |

It should be called Brownzone 2, but that sounds fucking filthy.
It is very Brown, even browner than Gears Of War, and that takes some beating. I still really want to play it though :) |

Theres a good neogaf thread on it at the moment, loads of pics, lots of singleplayer stuff turned into gifs too. http://www.g4tv.com/trailers/hdvideos/35... The problem/art style - desaturates as you get hit, until you just see greys + Helghast eyes. Sure its not exactly flourishing with green plants, but its a pretty good variation as far as fps go. EDIT: Should also mention most vids seem black and white almost because so many reviewers don't seem to realise how to play. I think I've seen one video preview where they actually use the weapon scope + burst fire...

Getting a bit fed up of "crapola film grain" being used to cover up shitty aliasing - it's like the scanlines of the 21st century - Gears of War being a chief culprit (suppose some games don't even bother attempting to hide their flaws - looks at Halo 3).
Seen the video's of this and have to say it looks very nice - and the team have done a great job of living up the the then unbelievable renders. It did make me chuckle looking through the comments way back in 2005 where some people even then were still claiming it was the PS3 in real-time lol |

Meh,
Killzone was poor, and no amount of graphical polish will make the fundamental gameplay flaws any better. I hope they've spent just as much time tidying up the irritating control system, overly responsive weapon recoil and bland level design. |

To the "omg it's brown" crowd, please go and check out a decaying poluted industrial plant and tell me what kind of color scheme you see there. Not much else than brown and grey.

wuh? i thought grey was the overiding design ethic here, anyhoo - whats mr.Zuljin talking about, i dont understand the last bit.
i happen to have good memories of the first game (its one of the only fps's i remember anyway) and despite the horrid frame issue it was really well thought out. the realistic flourishes were particularly interesting. ...first shooty game with dash? |

Unfortunately everyone I've talked to on the beta seems to think the mp is awesome. I've preordered this, couldn't give a crap what the gameplay is like in sp, if its half as good as mp I won't be dissapointed. @illusiondance You know when you're playing say Uncharted, or COD4 and the screen fades to white and throbs red respectively when you get shot? What happens in KZ2, what you can see from the video is that as you get hit, colour slowly gets removed from the screen (with the exception of the Helghast eyes). Once you realise that, you look through a lot of videos, and so much of the footage is almost black and white because people are running out in the open getting shot non stop... |

what were ya deprived of ya mothers tit as a baby ? fuck sake just enjoy the pics and the game when it comes out. you lot are just scared because ya can no longer judge games against COD4 anymore and that the ps3 finally has something to boast about . |
