okay two things about this post

firstly, 1) its a PLAYSTATION magazine dummy lol!
let me explain what this means they review only Playstation games for the SONY machines (including PSP and the original Playstation 2

.l so everything is held to a higher standard obviously because its jhust within Playstation games and there are less games for those platforms so they review them harder so the SCORES GO DOWN so a game that is a 10 gets a 9 becuz of the harsher review standard on those machines

LESS GAMES=LOWER SCORES DUMASS!!!!!


and second even if its true that it got 9 on theis site and that magazine look where BOTH THESE MAGAZINE/SITE are publiushed or put out into. its BRITAIN which has a bias becuyz of the different culture and market they dont have the same understanding of the Japanese games Sony make including, KILLZONE2

so of course it got a 9 for one or two of the above two reasons

The max res it supports i think is native 1080i. Im pretty sure of that.

It's a sad day when a '9' is considered bad. I on the other hand cannot fucking wait to play this :) only a month to go :(

No, it supports 1080i natively, which is different than saying it runs at 1080i. It actually will render less vertical lines than 720p, but this allows for better upscaling to 1080i.

On the game, sounds really good. I don't really mind about the lack of originality, I prefer atention to detail and do things good than "inovate" for the sake of it. Should be a good game for PS3ers. You should enjoy the game for what it is not because "xbox is da suxors"..., btw.

I don't understand what you're trying to say, but the developer is Guerrilla Games and the publisher is Sony. GG are, however, fully-owned by Sony, so read that as you like.

Anything with lots of movement, which is pretty much all games, looks better with progressive scan. The only game I'd recommend playing with a 1080i res is Myst!

As progressive scan, in the case of 720p, is 720 lines of information to make up the picture. 1080i is two fields of 540 lines of information interlaced together to make up the picture. So 720p actually has more unique information, but somehow on still images 1080i looks better, marginally.

How is this review exclusive anyway? There are reviews up all around the net, IGN, Gamereactor, Gameplayer etc.

I repeat it because it's probably one of the single most idiotic comments I've ever heard, and contrary to just about what ANYBODY else would say.

Look at PSMag or XBOXmag scores for exclusives and compare them to metacritic or whatever. It's almost always higher from the mag. Always 10/10's, etc.

A simple research, nay just a sample would actually show that all OFFICAL magazines rates their games on average higher than other 'independent' reviewers! I mean I dont even feel a need to bother showing this as its bloody well common knowledge! I m glad that you have overstepped yourself with this interesting argument! Yeah in your own world!

Still OPM UK is more honest than many but not that harsh as say Edge or EG!
