Here's the summary:

9.5 Presentation
Everything from the first entrance onto the battlefield to the last cutscene creates a hectic, fun and fast-paced thrill ride through a warzone where each step you take could be your last.
9.5 Graphics
Phenomenal visuals prove that Guerrilla either met or surpassed that infamous E3 trailer. Some technical issues hold it back from being a completely flawless masterpiece.
9.0 Sound
7.1 channel sound captures every nuance of the battlefield from gunshots to screams along with a great soundtrack. Weakly delivered, curse-filled dialogue (sans Brian Cox) could've been done better.
9.0 Gameplay
You'll have to get used to the firearms as well as the AI on both sides. More turret and vehicle sections would've been great, but outside of that, the single-player campaign is fun to play through.
9.5 Lasting Appeal
Multiplayer is extremely deep and has the added bonus of an offline skirmish mode. This is where you'll spend the majority of your time once the credits roll.

Hm, sounds ok. 9/10 seems a safe score for this, review didn't read like a 9. I'll get it anyway. I reckon comments 1-65 haven't read the review yet... you should give it a go, before giving a comment.

one thing though, how long would you estimate the story to be in hours of game play? isn't mentioned anywhere, would be good to know!

Suddenly XBots seem sane compared to the sony faithful that crawled out of the woodwork. At least the XBots were complaining that Halo 3 SHOULDN'T get a 10/10 because it simply wasn't that good. 9/10 for killzone 2 is excellent. Especially as the general consensus from people who have actually played it is that it's only worth an 8.

@Entity - I also thought it was going to get a much lower score - the text seemed to focus more on the negatives than any positive elements. It doesn't sound groundbreaking, but solid and polished. 9/10 is a top score, regardless, and its certainly got my interest (where i had none at all before, memories of killzone 1 had eliminated my interest in this game for a long while).

Not to be a troll or that I particularly care, but it sounded like less than a 9 to me. He had some pretty major gripes with the game, like the lack of co-op (which almost all FPS's have these days).

9 seems to me like lip service, but enjoy! I'm sure it's good enough to be a purchase for any PS3 owner.

Seems Guerilla came through and delivered the good this time. Even if they have needed a rediculous amount of time to complete the game.

I was certain this will get a 9. Never has it it been more obvious. Its a solid game. If only Sony could use this as a turning point for the Playstation 3.

yeah it wasnt reading like a 9 to me either. the lack of co-op in this game was always a worry, but the 9/10 has settled me. ive preordered already and will be looking forward to some deep multiplayer matches instead of that frag fest of cod5!

Fair review... expected an 8 or 7 as I was reading through. Sounds like KZ2 is nothing revolutionary but a fun, polished, solid experience. Exactly what I was expecting / hoping for!

hmm 9/10 fair play i can live with that read the reveiw played the beta its a fair score. no doubt for me anyways i'll be hooked on this game.

i guess what matters the most is your own personal veiw really and well .... reveiws are great but it does come down to what you think.

it was a shakey reveiw alot of tiny cons with weaponary and a.i but fair points such as you can revive buddys but they cant revive you as for the co-op thing im pretty sure that a fair point but i heard as a rumour they might patch it threw at some point.

but for now this game pre-ordered and the DLC planned im a very happy chappy about it all.

I love some of the comments in here, the ones aying 360 owners will be gutted, here is my point of view as a 360 owner, who doesn't own a PS3 and has a brain...

The is plenty of good games to play on my 360 so I am still happy, I am also happy that the PS3 is finaly getting some decent exclusives as it takes me own step closer to buying a PS3 (quite a few steps left still).

Some people own a 360, some people own a PS3 and some own both, if they are happy then leave them to it.

Back to the 360 owners will be gutted comments, as these must be from the PS3 only gamers, can I ask a question? where you unhappy when halo 3 or gears of war 2 came out? the answer is probably no, so to turn it on its head to you think any 360 owners will really be upset?

Glad Killzone is good after all the fuss about the first one being gash. I don't have a playstation, but if i did I'd be picking this up. It's not enough to make me drop £300, but the playstation's games library is finally starting to look pretty decent.

The lack of cover mech in MP is a bombshell for me as i was hoping for a rainbow vegas style implentation aaarrrgh! Still, its probably been mentioned before... Buying on release for shizzle!

Looks pretty good, very nice gfx but at the end of the day its just another FPS game, I will pick this up at sometime but i much prefer fps's on a pc with mouse/keyboard combo

@Groovychainsaw- Pretty much the same here. After getting disillusioned by not being able to climb a 'curb' in the first, I pretty much ignored this until very recently. Pre-order is go.
