Killzone 2 PS3 bundle confirmed for UK
Sony still quiet on game's release date.
Sony has confirmed the Killzone 2 PlayStation 3 bundle for the UK.
The price will be GBP 299.99, but - as with the game - the date has yet to be set. We're promised something "shortly", even though retailers agree on 27th February - the confirmed US release.
Americans will also be treated to a demo for Guerrilla's exclusive PS3 shooter a day before release, or from 2nd February if pre-ordering from GameStop. There's no word on exact European demo plans, but we've been told to expect one.
Killzone 2, first announced via the infamous E3 2005 target render trailer, is shaping up rather well. We've had plenty of time to get acquainted with the handsome game, with our latest hands-on impressions published just under two weeks ago.
That and much more can be found over on our Killzone 2 gamepage.

Those are the baddies.

@Broombeer
I have a friedn who is looking to swap a ps3 for an elite 360 if you're interested?

Methinks not, its still to expensive for the average joe. Killzone just doesn't have the pull of 'H*** and G**.
Its a gamers game and most gamers will have either a PS3 or 360 by now.
I would say it can expect modest sales

Price is the same as the LBP pack, so it's an 80GB with DS3. Same ol', same ol'. Maybe Sony should stop these pack-ins with special boxes and just, y'know, have a single box for the 80GB SKU with which they just include the bonuses?

Although, it saves Sony spending ad money, since there's just no possible way you could miss that on the shelf.

Nintendo started with a reasonable price. Microsoft has now reached a more-than reasonable price. So what is Sony's problem? Surely they must realise now that they will NEVER recoup their hardware development costs for this third generation and must therefore focus on being competitive to increase their installed base? Is that not a reasonable and logical point?
I mean, even stand-alone BluRay players now cost less than the PS3, so that argument about people buying it because it's a cheap BluRay player is no longer valid; something that harks back from the old days of the PS2 being a cheap DVD player.
So what is Sony's problem? Do they not want to win our hearts and minds this time around?

Says the person that, apparently, owns two Elites....
Mind you, I guess having two could be useful in the same way that I have a spare inner tube for my bike in the cupboard.

"And although I'm from The Netherlands and Killzone is a game product (one of the few) of the Dutch, I still know it's going to be overhyped to the max and when it's out it's going to be so underwhelmingly bad. Like a deja-vu, so to speak."
If you know its going to be crap then why are you here? Why bother finding out about it at all?
But don't worry I'll correct your statement for you:
"I still know it's going to be overhyped to the max and when it's out I have no idea what its going to be like because I haven't played the damn thing."

Haha, you can see the jealousy lurking through their little fanboy veins! I love it!
They're in for a horrible surprise.
