Just Cause 2 out in late March
Square Enix grapples with dates.
Square Enix has announced that Just Cause 2 will be released for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 on 23rd March in the US and on 26th March in Europe.
Just Cause 2 puts you in the shoes and, more importantly, parachute and grappling hook of special agent Rico Rodriguez, who has to take down a dictator in Panau.
This he seems to do ostensibly by making things up as he goes along, in an elaborate open world that encourages experimentation with high explosives and your special double-ended grapple, which can be used to tether soldiers to planes and so on.
Developed by Avalanche Studios, Just Cause 2 is also notable for its 1000-kilometre-square playing area.
You can read much more about its hilarious potential in our most recent Just Cause 2 hands-on preview. Look out for a closer examination of the game very soon.
In the meantime, you can also check out some brand new screenshots released today.

Just think about it - Hitman 5, published by Square Enix Europe! Ugh.

GT5 won't make a March release date in the west (I'm speculating, but c'mon - it's Polyphony)...
God of War 3 hasn't been locked down for a date yet here in Europe. Same goes for Dead Rising 2.
Resident Evil 5 SE is a redone one-year-old game.
So, it's more like:
Final Fantasy XIII
Battlefield: Bad Company 2
and now, Just Cause 2.

On JC2 I am looking forward to it but its shame they moved the release date to after BC2 comes out as I think I will probably be playing that for some time. This comment will of course now be marked down by MW2 fan boys because I have mentioned BC2.
