Can't come soon enough. Now that Mass Effect 2 is out, Just Cause 2 is the next game on my radar.

Too many good games. It'll be a brilliant summer though... i'll have more spare time and i'll be able to pick up Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, God of War, Just Cause 2 etc on the cheap!

Fer fuck sakes, How am I supposed to squeeze in Bad Company 2 time-limited demo, AVP demo AND Just Cause 2 demo??? I'm not even near finished Mass Effect 2 yet. Then there's Bioshock 2. Haven't even got to touch Assassin's Creed 2. Slow the fuck down everybody.

No multiplayer though :-( no sale

Just Cause really isn't the sort of game that needs multiplayer, too many games seem to waste resources on multi that no-one ends up playing anyway.
  • Phattso #6 2 years ago

Yeah, multiplayer can get bent. Might've been nice to see some co-op chaos, but I'd rather they spent their time getting the single player game as good as it can be. The first game was excellent, but ropey as all hell. After more than three years, this had better be very polished.

Cool. Didn't really like the demo for the first game, but the videos for this do look awesome!

Just Cause 2 is definitely on my radar along with Red Dead and Splinter Cell. There's also hint that Alan Wake might get a release in the first half of the year, though I'll believe that when I see it.

Very much looking forward to trying this. Wasn't amazingly keen on the original Just Cause but I think i'll probably like this one.

I can't wait to play this. There is never enough absurdly entertaining sandbox action games. Bring it on, demo and the retail version!

I wonder if the demo is based on what was shown at the Edinburgh games festival last year? If so you guys are in for a real treat because the live demo we saw blew our tiny little minds.

lets hope its better than the shocking AVP demo!
  • butler` #13 2 years ago

Phattso, exactly the same for me! Kind of a strange mix of games.

    Can't wait for ze demo.

I found the first Just Cause to be a little limited, there didnt seem much to do outside of the main missions. Nothing interesting anyway. A few "defend here" and "and collect these" missions but that seemed to be it. Hopefully this one will be a little more polished. Still, i'll try the demo and make my buying decisions based on that and reviews.

i thought the 1st was trash btw, but this one looks a world better to me
  • Haloboy #16 2 years ago

Just Cause was a victim of its own open world mechanic. They obviously spent a long time perfecting the size, areas and how it looked but then spent about 5 minutes plastering ''missions'' everywhere. They have already said they have spent far more time crafting much better missions this time around while balancing out how the game looks and plays.

High hopes for this and Red Dead Redemption
  • Phattso #18 2 years ago

I spent more time in the original just messing about aimlessly than doing missions. It was very entertaining just to traverse the world, occasionally having firefights. If they've managed to improve on that, and make a campaign free of annoyances and difficulty spikes, it could be a world-beater.

Can't wait for this, the first was one of those flawed but fun distractions that had loads of potential. Lets hope JC2 delivers.

    cant wait for this

Wow, the start of the years isn't going to be nice on my bank account! Just Cause 2, Red Dead, Assassins Creed and Uncharted 2 (still haven't got either of them :S) and Pokemon HeartGold, Mafia 2, Modnation. Makes me glad I finally purchased a PS3 though!

I like it when companies have enough faith in their product (and, well, manpower) to put out a demo before release.

I skip out on plenty of games that might interest me, but which have no demos, so I cannot be bothered with them.
  • TheJuriel #24 2 years ago

Would love some co-op chaos. But singleplayer is the most important in this kind of a game for me. Definitely won't miss not having any kind of deathmatching going on...
  • TRUTH #25 2 years ago

I got a feeling that this game will get repetitive after a couple of hours - the enemy AI seem to put up no challenge, and from what I seen you continue to destroy things and that's about it, enemy seems the same!

Very much looking forward to experimenting with that grappling hook. Looks like a lotta fun. First game was sorta bland, but I've got my hopes up for this one.
