Dreamcast gem Jet Set Radio may reappear on Xbox Live Arcade.

The game's logo and name were spotted on the Xbox dashboard by French website Spirit Pixel and picked up by Destructoid.

SEGA has offered Eurogamer "no comment" on whether this is a Dreamcast re-release, a new game or a fake.

Jet Set Radio introduced the world to cel-shaded graphics, while gameplay involved spray-painting Japanese cities and playing music while avoiding police and battering other gangs.

I will be really pleased if this did appear on XBLA! Dreamcast rocked too - I guess I can only dream about Shenmue making it onto XBLA!

SEGA would contemplates allowing their Dreamcast franchises to be back on the market but I doubt that it would be exclusive to one platform as I could see them allowing this to be on XBL/PSN and PC etc?

However I would so love it if we ll see Jet Set Radio soon.

Oh yes, oh yes. I had a Dreamcast. I loved it so. I bought Rez and just didn't get it.

I got Rez HD the other day on XBLA and absolutely loved it. More Dreamcast games appearing can only be a good thing.

When the 360 came out there was that rumour that Sega were going to launch a Dreamcast channel of sorts on Live Arcade.

I've had quite a good few sessions of JSRF since they made it BC.

This is so good to hear as I never had a Dreamcast back then, but I always wanted to. Haven't played any of these games, apart from Sonic Adventure. Think I'm going to buy this Jet Set Radio, maybe Crazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure. An XBLA Dreamcast shopping spree here I come.

This news is great, it really is. However I have to say im slightly more interested in the fact Trials HD has 300 GS points on that pic. Does that mean more DLC is on the way?

I still play this on my DC!

Now, can someone at Sega explain WHY ChuChu rocket has not been ported to XBLA yet????????? It should have been a 360 LAUNCH title! The sequel to JSR was!

(Also - as an owner of the Japanese (FAR better soundtrack with no crappy remixes) and English versions (Two extra areas but some bad music added for western appeal) - I would STILL like to know why they retextured Cube's trousers between the two releases! Any ideas?)

I think that's all. I've got the OST to the first JSR, never liked the second one with all it's remixes as much. It's great to cruise in my clapped out car to.

well, we've got already some ports from dc games on xbla, it makes sense sega jumping on the bandwagon. please release sonic adventure, Outrigger, house of the dead 2, virtua cop 2, daytona usa...oh god, re-release every dc game!

1st cel shaded game released was Wacky Races on DC. Still the only decent use of the licence with great multiplayer. It was the closest the DC got to Mariokart!

1st cel shaded game released was Wacky Races on DC.

IIRC, Wacky Races was the first game actually released with cel-shading, and thus the first time anyone played with it, but the JSR unveiling at an E3 about a year before it came out was the first time anyone actually saw cel-shaded graphics. So they both sort of have a claim to it.

The Dreamcast really was a fantastic console, I was gutted when it failed, as I much prefered it to the PS2.

If only they released it with DvD.

I hope they stick to the original formula of having to do the tags manually rather than the semi-instant version used in JSR:Future. However I'm still really excited I loved this game on the DC and the soundtrack is still awesome.

Just bought a DC just for this.
If released, make it HD, but more importantly ONLINE CO-OP PLEASE.

Whilst there, get me Headhunter, Rival Schools, and POWERSTONE 2 (Stupid Capcom).

Only thing the DC lacked was a decent split-screen FPS (Outtrigger didn't do it)/

Seems like Sonic Adventure has been hanging around for ages and STILL not released or announced officially

I bought a sealed copy of this last year to replace my battered pre-owned copy, and put it on a couple of weeks ago to show my other half, as she was convinced that JSRF was the exact same game as the Dreamcast one.
