Jericho demos imminent News

PC Xbox 360 PlayStation 3
News by Robert Purchese

25 September, 2007

Codemasters has said that Jericho demos will be crashing down onto 360 and PC this Thursday, followed a week later on PS3.

It will give you a chance to try out the supernatural squad-based shooter written by horror author Clive Barker. The idea is that your group of magically-powered fighters is sent out to explore some silly old ruins slap bang in the middle of a dodgy dimensional rift. It just so happens that an ancient evil is stirring, and you have to go in and stop it.

We got a chance to play the gory game earlier this year, and labelled it as one of Codemasters' most promising titles. You can also get a better look at it today over on Eurogamer TV, where a new trailer will be available any minute now.

Clive Barker's Jericho is due for release in late October. Head over to our Jericho gamepage to see how it's shaping up.

Hurrah. That pre-rendered trailer on XBLM was no use to anyone really.

Release a demo of your FPS the day after Halo 3 comes out. Good idea, Codies.

Sweet!

Nice to see some developers realise that not everyone is soiling themselves over the release of Halo 3.

PS3 demo version. Next week. I knew it before I even read it and chuckled sadly to myself. (PS3 owner.)

Apostle: Yeah, I thought that too! (and I'm not even a PS3 owner) I've noticed that being the case more than once, what gives? Has anyone explained why that happens?

Im getting a little tired of even things like demos getting delayed for the PS3 (speaking as someone who has a PS3 and a 360, so Im not a fanboy of any sort) and all it means is, I get stuff for my 360 because it comes out first and I cant be bothered waiting - with a fair few of the multiplatform titles I have finished the 360 version and traded them in before the PS3 version has been released, and there is no incentive to re-purchase them for the PS3 as they are identical in most cases.

it is a bit strange that even demos are sometimes a week late, its a conspiracy i think!

Eww, and it's not a good demo either fellas. It's not exactly selling it to me.
