Japanese Mario Kart in April after all?
Source close to Nintendo says so.
Just a few hours ago, you may recall, Nintendo denied rumours a date had been set for Mario Kart Wii in Japan.
The date was said to be 10th April, but Nintendo declared nothing had been confirmed.
That's still the official line. But after speaking to sources close to the company, Eurogamer has learned the date is correct. Apparently it will be confirmed in the next issue of Famitsu, due on 10th February.
Of course, it's highly unlikely Mario Kart Wii will get a simultaneous release in Europe - that kind of thing has never been Nintendo's style. But at least it gives us hope for the summer...
Expect more concrete info in the coming days.

Seriously, theres other markets other then Japan!
They have now got Wii Fit, Brawl and Mario Kart before Europe, it's unfair!
No-way does Nintendo deserve the success it's getting here in Europe, we're taken for fools.

think aout it.... how many exclusives are gonna be out this christmas? Zelda? nope... Mario... no way... a newstarfox? possible, but unlikely a new metroid? not gonna happen
they need to save it to ensure their christmas line up isnt a total joke this year

FenderMaster: Well, I doubt they'd be so crass as to go that far, but I do worry about what's actually coming for the Wii after Q2 2008...they've not exactly been forthcoming about their lineup, have they? They're going to really have to show us a lot at E3-But-Not-E3 this year, or the 08/09 release schedule is going to start looking very bare indeed...

Save it for when they announce games, not when the release date is being sorted which makes you look really slow...
The current rumour for Europe MK date is the 25th April, remember, it was previously rumoured to be planned to be a timed exlcusive for Europe because of Brawl being released late here. Of course, we havn't got dates for either...still.

It was NOE who denied it then, wasn't it? What a bunch of absolute jokers.
