Lets edit that

Microsoft Certified thermostats, Microsoft Certified lights, Microsoft Certified media devices, Microsoft Certified computers, Microsoft Certified Consoles....

You will have to buy a load of custom lights that have sensors built in them in order it to work, same with any other device, i doubt anything will work with out some form of accessory being needed in order for it to function.

Not necessarily. MS is one of the companies that are in a foundation that tries to improve usability and interaction through unification. BT3 is an integral part of the roadmap but that's as much as I know.
