Mmmmm, if Chronicles is half as good as the hype then the Washoutski's have just been thoroughly schooled by Mr Diesel.

"Plus, I am loaded"

Ahhh living with mummy and earning £4.00 an hour working at McDonalds does actually give you quite a bit of disposable income, but doesn't really classify you as "loaded".

Now get back to work, I'll have a strawberry milkshake please.

So I take it you shoplift as well? And wouldn't complain if someone broke into your home and stole all your stuff?

Always amazing how people lack the abilities to abstract when it comes to stealing intellectual property.

P.Laz - so its OK if someone breaks in and steals all your stuff?

And I have never downloaded any song off the internet that I don't already have on a purchased CD.

So you have never downloaded a song off the internet? Don't say you haven't coz I don't believe you.

Believe what you want - no, I haven't. And I don't own a single burned audio CD.

Which doesn't mean I don't understand if someone does this occasionally, but you obviously do that on a level that can't be justified.

You know, it's not "cool". It's just stupid. Stupid as in "lacking intelligence". In short: you're dumb, or you wouldn't do it. Discussion ends here.

Don't be silly ssuellid that would be illegal. I am doing nothing illegal - I am not sharing or distributing only buying.

You tool! Of course you're doing something illegal! You're receiving stolen goods.

"I don't comprehend your logic"

Well considering that 'his logic' was a simple fact - It is illegal to buy copied games - then yes, it is because you're too stupid.

P.Laz you are obviously a bit thick but just to make it simple for you: - having non original copies of copywrited material is illegal. It is theft.

Maybe you really just didn't know about it until now. Buying stolen goods from a fence doesn't make it legal, just because you pay money for it. Come on, you're just fooling about, nobody is that stupid.

Imagine you wrote a book. One person would buy it, make millions of copys and sell them, and you wouldn't see a penny. Do you think that would be legal?

I really dont see the length of the game as an issue. I like long and short games, different genres demand different play lengths, and for a FPS 10hrs gameplay is more than fine.

However I do think the score is a little over the top, theres too many issues for me. The control isnt very good, the 3rd person cuts for climbing etc arent done well at all, Metroid is a very good example of 1st person platforming. Enemy AI is very dull, and for a FPS I expect more. Level design at times is as you say a bit dull. Whilst non of these things ruin the game, theyre enough to make it a 8 not a 9. Mind these things are noted in the review and it is a fun game. And it is very good for a film tie in which are always rubbish, goldeneye and batman on the amiga noted as exceptions, oh and xwing/tie fighter, so hopefully will encourage licensed game makers to put the effort in.

So we have a bunch of clever Swedes making flat objects look classy in 3D? It's IKEA mapping surely?

Not only better than Halo, but better than the movie. Chronicles has been slated by the critics in the US.

I'll give you a begrudging (and quiet) "ha" for that pun.

And sorry to have missed that P:Laz palavar. Makes you wish we could just press the big red button of doom and have police officers on his doorstep right away doesn't it? But as I am opposed to the intrusive state ...

Sigh.

Get lost you stupid little maggot. You are a criminal. And if you do have a job, and get sacked because too many things got stolen and no one can make a profit anymore, you deserve it. Unlike people who spend 5 years making a game only to have you steal it.

It's a crime in any state in the EU. Including the jammy french surrender monkeys.

>a moronic xenophobic attitude to a nation that decided to do what it's people wanted instead of bending over for George W

As someone who has attended anti-war and anti-Bush demonstrations in London I find this a bit odd.

I have many french friends (none of who I am talking to after last night!) and I fully support the French stance on Iraq. If only my country had a similar approach.

However, anyone that saw the Euro 2004 match on Sunday night and thinks the French weren't jammy is out of their minds.

And "surrender monkey" is almost a term of affection. They did. After all :-)

Anyway, it's not ironic is it? If I didn't know better I would think you were using the term in the American sense ... how can it possibly be ironic that I dislike pirates and dislike the French?

(p.s. I don't dislike the French ... especially since they pay me right now)

i dont know how the hell this comments page turned to the war in iraq but im going to actually talk about the game. this has massive potential in my opinion and should provide many hours of gunning down robots and soldiers. i havent heard much about riddicks eye abilities affecting gameplay but i have a sneaking suspicion its a night-vision eye eg. Thief: Deadly Shadows. Unfortunately its not out till august over here (any chance of an xbox freeloader?)

The game length argument is pure nonsense. Films are only 2 hours long, yet you pay to watch them at the cinema and/or buy them on DVD after. You can get this game for 27 quid from simply right now, so that roughly translates as a cinema visit+DVD purchase, and for that you get 10-15 hours instead of 3-4.

You're allowed to play these through again you know... I enjoy playing some games through and through, you notice small things that you missed before, especially if the game has been written well. I haven't played this yet so I can't comment, but I'm more likely to play this 2-3 times than finish NG once. I couldn't see myself playing through NG again, I'm not that much of a masochist.
