Interpol coming to XBLA this week News

News by Ellie Gibson

6 January, 2009

Microsoft has unveiled this week's Xbox Live Arcade offering, titled Interpol: The Trail of Dr. Chaos.

You play an elite Interpol agent, following clues and solving puzzles as you travel the world. There are loads of crime scenes to investigate and hidden objects to find, and locations include San Francisco, Paris, Tokyo and Cairo. Yes, it sounds not unlike 1985 classic Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?, not least because the press release is headlined "Where in the World is Dr Chaos?"

This game's got a four-player co-op mode, however. Lots of mini-games and bonuses are promised too.

Interpol: The Trail of Dr. Chaos will be available on XBLA from 9am GMT on Wednesday, priced at 800 Microsoft Points (GBP 6.80 / EUR 9.60). Take a look at it over in the screenshot gallery.

I had Where in Time is Carmen Sandiego? on the Mega Drive, and it was epic, even though as a child I had no idea what I was doing.

I don't understand it - is Phoenix Wright like this or something? The screenshots really don't make it obvious how the game plays.

I read the title and was hoping it would be some Interpol tracks for Rock Band or GH or something. Dammit.
