Id announces Doom II RPG
If you're into that sort of thing.
Id's next mobile game is Doom II RPG, the developer announced at QuakeCon tonight.
After showing off Wolfenstein RPG ("We've put the action-packed fun of kicking Nazi butt onto cell-phone") for mobile phone for a few minutes, Id Mobile's Katherine Anna Kang announced the game.
Nothing was shown apart from a grinning Doomguy.

Some funny dialogue in there but in the end the combat was essentially just a turn based shooter. Didn't work too well. I'm hoping this one has a bit more in there to justify it being turn based, more tactical elements to it.

"Nearly" is the important bit. Doom RPG was good.

That is because most mobile games are chucked out of the door for barely any dev money, safe in the knowledge they are cheap enough to sell to people on a whim. iD don't do that sort of thing, so I expect better.
