"ICO 3" image pops up in job ad
Kristan excited like little child.
Sony Japan has released the first image associated with the PS3 game Team ICO is working on.
The looks-a-bit-conceptual picture appears on the official site above job adverts for planners, animators, artists and effects designers.
We're only telling you about this because you keep emailing us claiming it confirms the existence of a new game. Which it doesn't really - it's a drawing of a chain going down a hole in the middle of a circular stone floor.
Team ICO Gamers first spotted it and has now been looking at it for hours, concluding that the shadow in the upper portion of the picture is cast by something shackled to the chain.
"Something or someone is imprisoned down there," states Team ICO Gamers. Dramatically. Probably using ketchup as fake blood.
What do you think is hiding at the end of the chain, Eurogamer reader? Extra points and maybe an invisible prize for ingenuity.

There has also been hearsay about the game being about a child and a griffin-type monster thing:

Now the question, can I justify buying a PS3 just for 1 game?
Hell, for ICO 3 I would buy a gizmondo!

Ohh and at least it'll give Apologie some new material for his list of 50+ fannytastic games that are coming out for the PS3 over the next 6 years.

Chillax my friend, calm thyself, and cease the furious ranting. I tried both ICO and SOTC, and they weren't for me, beautiful to look at yes, thrilling to play? Not remotely.

you really think SOTC is not thrilling to play? SOTC is like a game comprised of only boss fights. Probably the most thrilling game ever. The only problem is it was short.

I was taking the mick because faaar too many of you were literally jizzing over your screens over a pic of ''a hole in the floor with a chain coming out of it''. I didn't come in here calling you a bunch of cunts, screaming ''PS3 sUUUUUCKS, ICO BLOOOOWS''
If it was a mighty sexy video showing action galore, well maybe I could understand the excitement, or even if it was a picture of something even slightly interesting, again I could understand the reactions. But this pic?... No.
So rdexter, untwist those panties, and I mightily appologise for my ohh so negative first post, because if there's one thing that stops me being able to get a good night's sleep, it's if I've mot managed to come across as smart and calm on an EG comments section with all of my posts.

The point is that there is so much more to them than that. They are much, much greater than the sum of their parts.
You know what's chained up in the dark in that image? Potential. The sort of potential that will convince a lot of people to buy a PS3 (myself included) when that potential is released.
