Just that EQ and EQ2 will allow people on non-localised servers, so WOW should too. I think.

Nice article, I'm looking forward to WoW.

Here's something that often confuses me about interviews; its when words are put in square brackets. Now, it is my understanding that such words are insterted because the sentence has been taken out of context, so they might need to replace an "it" with what the "it" was referring to. But here is one that is particularly confusing:

So whatever it is - if they find some herb that fetches a ridiculous price of something, I dunno, something really crazy, then that's our [fault], but we'll deal with it and we fully intend to do that across all regions;

Can someone (Tom?) tell me what "fault" was replacing?

Gurg, you forgot about that most 'core gamers will just buy the american version as they don;t want to wait 3 months for the official version.

Tom, one question I didn't see asked or answered is whether we will have servers based in the three main euro regions, ie, will we have some here in the UK, some in France and some in Germany - or will we all be heading to France for our servers? (as has been rumoured on the yank WoW forums).

Other than that, great interview.

The regional lockout thing is of most concern to people who are already in guilds in other games, and want to move to WoW with their buddies. If some of you are from europe and some are in the USA, you're simply not going to be able to do that.

And yeah, the games out earlier in the USA.

I understand why DAoC did regional lockout, the european servers were run by a different company and publisher, but I don't think that's the case for WoW. Weird anyway. Doesn't bother me too much, as I've no online yankland buddies to speak of, just hope the euro release isn't too delayed.

You ). will be permitted to play on the US servers, however it will be recommended that you play on the European servers for a better gaming experience (Lag Issues). Please don't base your decision on the misunderstandings of a few people on the WoW website. For all of you that choose to play with your North American friends you will all have that opportunity and vice versa.
