The main problem I have with Acid is the difficulty level.

I'm only on about level five and I'm having terrible trouble. I was blaming my own lack of skills, but maybe I'll start blaming an inadequate tutorial instead.

The more things I read about this the more I want it, which is good as the more games I feel I need the more I can justify buying the machine :)

Check out the forums for my thoughts on it Derb - it's a classic imho. Almost finished it now. I've taken my time and got nearly 30 hours of enjoyment out of it.

And I'm sure I'll play some of the levels again, just to get points to collect all the cards, get a better ranking and then use different card combos for a laugh to see how they work :)

The only Metal Gear game I've ever been interested in...is the damn Acid. And it's on PSP, which I don't want. Agh.

MGA is a superb game... it helps if you're already a fan of turn based games and the Metal Gear series, though. The IGN review (6.6) was a travesty, imho - they basically said "it's not realtime, so it can't be that good". Acid captures the essence of Metal Gear as well as any of the previous console versions.

"Metal Gear Acid is likely to launch alongside the PlayStation Portable in Europe on September 1st, and is already available on import from the USA and Japan."
I thought they'd already announced the launch titles for the European PSP launch, and MGA wasn't on it...?
Edit: what's with the weird formatting issues on here? When I first entered this comment it put "I" on one line and "thought they'd already announced..." on the next line. I had to put a   in there to fix it.

MGA isn't terribly difficult game, for me. I thing, final part of the game including (well known) last boss is fairly easy (and not only last boss). I'm Metal Gear Solid series fan and didn't have any problem to become Metal Gear Acid addict. Can't wait for MGA 2 :)

I love MGA to bits. Having got stuck towards the end I have been replaying earlier levels to build up my points and buy more cards...which has been incredibly addictive - and i'm finding that replaying the shorter levels, knowing how long they are, is much more suited to playing on the move...

I'm halfway through playing it again on Extreme difficulty! I love Acid, I can't wait for the second one to come out! I'm a huge fan of Metal Gear Solid as well, but I am glad that they at least attempted to do something different. Roll on Metal Gear Acid 2!

...it's not a launch game. There is no excuse for that.

No excuse.

The problem I have is I can "equip" (as opposed to "use") guns - but I can never get them to fire them. Do I have to wait and find ammo or something?
