"Gamers hates shitty interfaces"

Bioware, be a good little chap and patch the 360 version with the improved menus.

The improved menus will probably be for use with PC mice I'm so sure that would suit the xbox 360. Just a thought.

Why the hell doesn't the 360 support mice, then?

Because it's not a PC.... Well It is a PC, sort of, but MS are keen to differentiate it and no mouse support is one of the ways that they do it, I reckon it would take 10 minutes to actually implement mouse support for the 360 if they wanted to.

Great news for the PC gamers out there... You are going to love this game!

I would like to see the 360 version patched, particularly the texture pop. It doesn't affect the game play, but it is annoying after a gazillion hours of play.

"We do have - for 360 - certainly one more pack planned. "

Mmm, first he's talking about new planets, aliens, loads of cool stuff, etc, etc and then he says one more pack planned at least. that doesn't sound like a shitload to me.

Hope it does get a little deeper as well. Some mission involving the past of your characters (surviving the streets as a homeless child or fighting the worms, etc, depending on your character choice) to give them more character for example.

Yeah, no multiplayer for Mass Effect please. Like ever.

I know there'll be morons who asked for it in the original, but seriously, take your team-slayer sh*t elsewhere, these games are in-depth story-driven RPGs, we don't need idiots ruining it. Go play WoW.

They needed the community to tell them the elevators were too slow and we dont like texture popping?

Indeed, Screw multiplayer. Go play CoD , Halo, whatever. wasted resources which could be used for other good stuff IMO.

I loves me some multiplayer co-op, but this guy perfectly explained why it shouldn't be in mass effect. It's a personal experience.
That's like having the great shenmue being turned into an MMO.

What's that you say?

Nice. I will show my appreciation for their efforts by buying it on release day.

In related news, ME2 had been confirmed for PC as well a couple of days ago, with a probably shorter gap between the 360 version (which does come first, though) and the PC one.

I like how the PC version is built on feedback from 360 players.

Will that feedback benefit 360 players, also? :|

On the subject of those changes it all depends on what those changes are. Elevators are a change that could be made for the 360 easily unless they're there to cover loading times, however the texture pop in will be much harder to fix.

More d/l ME content = great news.

Talk of ME2 options and "don't knows" = bad. Sounds like years till we see ME2 and that scares me TBH. I want the entire trilogy and I want it on one console!!!

For me ME is a little like Shenmue; I'd buy a console just to continue the story. Unlike Shenmue, there's a chance I may actually get to see the story reach some sort of satisfying climax

(no jokes about there already being satisfying climaxes in Mass Effect please....)

Oh lovely. Are we 360 Mass Effect owners going to be getting a patch with all those "gameplay improvements" suggested by us? Or are we merely going to be used solely to improve the experience for PC gamers?

If they are planning on that, then I'd appreciate some kind of reworking of the inventory system while they're at it, seeing as they are going to the troube to do the same for the PC audience, as the existing one is shit beyond words. One of the worst inventory systems I've ever had the misfortune to use. No, I take that back, it's the worst inventory system I've ever had the misfortune to use.

Have you ever played Kotor 1? The inventory system in that game is almost identical to the one in Mass Effect. BioWare should have looked at Kotor 2 and the inventory system Obsidian used. It was much better (but not perfect...)

It's been a while since I played KOTOR 1, but I can't remember having quite the seething hatred of the inventory system then as I do for ME.

Why did they insist on moving the cursor back to the top of a possibly massive list whenever you sell/convert something? Why did they have to keep every item seperately even if they are exactly the same (why not just stick a number next to the item telling me how many I've got, you know, something seemingly EVERY other game does....). Why didn't thy give you the option of reducing everything to omni-gel rather than one item at a time? Why couldn't they categorise each of the different types of items so you could get rid of the older versions easier (ie, keep all the VI versions of items seperate from the VII versions). It's a total nightmare to manage as it is.

What is with all this "PC version built on feedback from 360 gamers" whining? If there was no PC version at all, would that make you feel better? Then at least you might not feel like you were "missing out" on something.

If they patch the 360 version with improvements then hurrah. I played the 360 version too, so I'm on your side.

But what that has to do with the PC version is beyond me. Its like a kid being happy with their sweets until they discover some other kid has more of them.

meh glad to hear they are not into ports, but why not a demo? it will not slow down anything if the demo is done after the final game is over and done with, ready for retail pc.

ME for 360 was fun enough but it had some big faults too. Side missions were montonous to the extreme and the combat AI was screwy. its not a terribly long game as RPG's go. Worth playing but not at the full retail prince I paid.

Kiigan said: "PS Can anyone tell me the difference between a port and conversion?"

A port is when a game is ported from one system to another with only the barest of changes being made to make it compatible. It literally means 'portable' (i.e. less expensive to make it compatible for a different system than to completely rewrite it). The original GTA III is a great example. A conversion is pretty much a port, but with a comprehensive number of changes designed to improve the gaming experience for the destination system - to the interface, to the controls, etc. KotOR 1 is a great example, coincidentally enough.
