Interesting interview. The 360 demo is not getting much good feedback - both on visuals and gameplay. This and the QTE mentioned in reviews/previews for repairs etc has put me off a lot.

Eurogamer: Any plans for a sequel, or a PS3 version later in the year? Would this be possible on PSP? Any plans there?

Ioan Palalau: No, not at the moment.

Heh heh - your leaked releases list said otherwise! :-)

i got the demo to this yesterday.

Its not too bad, probably not worht £50 though, I`ll wait for a 2nd hand one at £20

Its worth pointing out that the voice acting and scripting is the worse I`ve ever heard in over 20 years of gaming, quite possibly the most purile and offensive scripting in any gaming, really shatters the sense of immersian

Right! Guadalcanal is one word, it's an island in the pacific, and is famous for the US Marines' defence of the airfield rather than the airwar that took place there.

Battle for England? Pretty sure its usually referred to as The Battle of Britain.

Pearl fooking Harbour? Most important air battles of WWII? Seeing as the Japs lost 29 planes in total, it was hardly much of a battle was it?

Stickman, the Battle of Britain thing got dropped due to the Scots and Welsh objecting to the homogenisation of their culture with that of the English. :)

Well, I think we've all known for years that the Taffs and Jocks shirked their duty, I'm just surprised they've finally decided to drop the charade.

I enjoyed the 360 demo but I was a bit miffed that this is yet another 360 game, like GR:AW, that has the dreaded tearing, which makes the scenery "wobble" alarmingly when you do sharp turns. Shame really 'cos the game looks great otherwise...

Played the demo and to be honest hated it, but then I prefer Sims over Arcade.

This looks SwEEt, nice viedo.

I hope this plays as nicely as Crimson Skies, I hate MS for truning that into an Xbox only game.

Does the game actually come with voice overs that don't all sound like yankee cowboys as per the video? No way I'm gonna play a game as some hootin an a hollerin yee haa gungho cowboy flying over my beloved english countryside. Specially considering when there were hardly any yanks involved in the Battle of Britain (that's the aerial battle before the US had even entered the war in Europe before any americans get confused).

The only Yank I am aware of that was in the Battle of Britain shot down no planes and actually killed himself while trying to land. This was the person Tom Cruise was going to do a movie on though presumbly in that the story would be changed so that some how he actually won the Battle of Britain single handed.

Fools, didn`t you know the Americans won the Battle of Britain, then went on to single handedly win WW2, on all fronts.*

As I mentioned, you will not believe the voice over stuff, its actually offensive.

*Interestingly, they have not been able to win a war since

Well if they stopped declaring war on abstract concepts, then they might have a chance! :D

This is getting some bad reviews. 6.8 on IGN. I hate to think how low it will score on Eurogamer. Possibly a 3 or 4 going on their normal 360 review policy.

Shame as this one was on my list of games that might make me get a 360.

Don't understand all the criticism this game is getting. I downloaded the demo and then me and my mates sat and played it for a couple of hours, having an absolute blast.

It's been a while since a game has done that. The graphics are fantastic (bland!?! look again my friend!). Yes, there's some historical anomolies with the game centering around some yank pilots, but I don't see why it should detract from the heart of the action. The controls work great and the 'target view' is easy to pick up and makes it a lot more interesting to watch as a third party. I hear the multiplayer is where this game excels, which is fine by me! And lets not kid ourselves, its no sim. This is an arcade game. So being able to jump straight in and pick up the game within a few minutes is exactly what this game is about.

Either way, I've ordered my copy today from Play.com - 39.99. Can't wait...!

I'm with the majority here downloaded the demo and had a go. The game itself is a bit of fun but it is just bland, it's just not up to spec. Crimson Skies really puts it to shame.

On the tearing that really does seem to be a Ubisoft thing doesn't it. I wonder is it one of the garphics engines they are using.
