what's this "Episode 1" business, all about? I thought Hydrophobia would be a self-contained, buy in retail box affair...Am I now mistaken?
Also, Blade have added a series of new screens on their site http://www.bladeinteractive.com/hydro_sc... This has come on lots since they last showed it! I'm still looking forward to seeing how it turns out, once its released. I feel like the lead character won't sit right with me, until there's some exposition about who she is, and what she's doing there, because she's almost the "odd thing out" in all these shots. Not dislikable, just a bit of a curiosity. :) |

Yes we are Blade Interactive, we've networked our brains together to make communication of ideas more efficient. Oh yes it's really coming out, it has been a long development period, but then it is a very ambitious game :D

Now I've seen the video - want.
Is this a 360 title? Why Episode 1? Risky titling. You're honestly better off making a self-contained game and leave one loose end just in case there's a sequel - no cliffhanger. |

I rather like the look of the character now. No doubt the dreads are easier to handle when it comes to making thing look realistically wet, but hopefully people won't get hung up on that (if it looks better at the end of the day, then mission accomplished surely). Personally I think they make the character look a little unique, and more interesting than the slightly Lara'esque version we saw a few months back.

Oh, and as for episoidic content thing... for me it all comes down to the price. If I get X number of quality gameplay hours for Y amount of dosh, I don't much mind whether it is broken down into chunks along the way. Surely it is better to be able to play the first few levels of a game earlier than have to wait for the whole thing (and if it comes to it that you don't like the game, you haven't spent the full wodge on it up front). But then I rather like DLC too. I'm all about the future me :)
