HL2 Episode 2 vehicle teaser News

PC Xbox 360 PlayStation 3
News by Tom Bramwell

19 February, 2007

Having teased us mercilessly last week about the possibility of more Team Fortress 2 information in the coming weeks, Valve has chosen the Whip MIT Grad - the new vehicle introduced in Half-Life 2: Episode 2 - as the subject of this week's torment.

"Half-Life 2: Episode 2 is being playtested here at Valve regularly now, and one of the pieces of the game that's getting strong reactions from our testers is driving the game's new vehicle," the Steam update, which will probably fling itself siren-like in your face the next time you load the program, declares.

"This thing's got some major horsepower. Here's a peek at some of the early vehicle concept work," it continues - concluding with a trio of pics, one of which we've even taken the time to download and sling up on our own web-server. They're not wrong - it moved very quickly.

Still, all the new images and promises in the world are still struggling to make up for the news, announced earlier this month, that Episode 2's various boxed versions won't be with us until the winter, when it will be released on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 as part of a bundle of new titles including the aforementioned TF2 and Portal.

Route Kanal was one of my favourite chapters.

However, the last paragraph sums it up - that big delay has sucked out a lot of my enthusiasm for now. I wanna just forget about this game for a few months...

Nice, looks like it could offer some brilliant off-road musclecar fun.

Oh no. They're all at it now.

Another imaginary fucking vehicle. Mmm. the "Whip MIT Grad" eh? That sounds good. What's this? - "This thing's got some major horsepower." No it fucking hasn't! Stop wanking and write some fucking games, you tossers! Actually no - tell you what. Let's all join in:

Here is the latest picture of the "UCLA X-nob950" weapons platform:

O--O

The gyro-servo driven marine-injection scooter platform for the twenty-fiftieth century dimension. Boasting a full set of 16.1 calibre hydro wind-power nano-bearings in each wheel, and with a sub-space dimensional diesel reactor, the UCLOL X-nob950 can power an armour-plated space-marine-demigod or a bespectacled scientist from zero to infinity in a parsec. The handlebar mounted super-jizz piston rail-gun ejects .876 microzoa at a rate of 789 per second, meaning this bad boy can bring down the biggest plasma-troll.

Suck it up fanboys. More rubbish next week.

Oh. And it has bell.
