Sony Computer Entertainment president Kaz Hirai and European boss David Reeves will both attend an upcoming "PlayStation Day" in London to show off the company's 2008 line-up.

Sony announced the event yesterday and sent invites to select press, promising "exciting new developments" for PS3, PSN, PSP and PS2.

The event takes place on 6th May and you can expect us to be present, going hands-on with various games, interviewing developers and - we're currently discussing it with Sony - hopefully providing some sort of LiveText coverage.

Speaking of Crisis Core, why hasn't there been an import review of the US version? I'd say it was a big enough release to warrant it.

Forget the games for a moment - how about an announcement of when the Dualshock 3 might finally be launched over here? Preferably followed up with an announcement of the 80GB MGS4 bundle for Europe.

Must have something to announce if Kaz is coming over. I reckon we might get details on the movie download service, and a price/date for Play TV. Maybe also some details on PS3 Achievements, sorry Accomplishments, and the legendary firmware 2.40.

Don't think we'll hear anything about the Team ICO game until E3 or TGS, unfortunately.

In game XMB + Xgame invites demoed?

Oh yeah, I see that HMV have pushed the GPS unit for PSP out to July. Unfortunately I'm going on holiday's in late May, so there's a sale lost.

They obviously won't make it a public event because they don't want to face the barrage of abuse that they will get from PS3 owners...cowards!

Now EG, you will ask some of the awkward questions, right?
