Haze demo for PSN in early May
Will feature four-player co-op.
Ubisoft has plans to release a four-player drop-in co-operative demo for Haze in early May. No wait June no last February no definitely May no Christmas. May.
Judging by the screenshot taster for it, you will be enjoying the first stages of the shooter as one of the Mantel super troopers juiced up on Nectar.
Haze, if you remember, pits you against an enormous Private Military Company that your character used to work for.
Free Radical of TimeSplitters fame is developing the game, and Ubisoft recently finally confirmed it will be out exclusively for PS3 on 23rd May.
Pop over to our first impressions of Haze for a detailed rundown of what to expect. In May.

They'll be better off releasing this a month later.

Still haven't finished up the harder DMC4 difficulties. Waiting on a new PC to really get into Crysis (but its on my shelf)...
Haze, I'm sorry, you sound neat but not for another 3-6 months.

Oh wait, I do care.
Free Radical Design have never let me down, and I don't think they will now.
The only thing that could be innovative is the story, but I fear they gave the pot twist away (going rebel) to get more media attention. So it'll probably just be a sweet game within the boundaries we know.
And fun co-op multiplayer, that is.
I just hope their online network code is better than Ubi's. But I guess that's what they're trying to prove with this demo.

Even though the GTA IV multiplayer modes look interesting, I will definately find the time to give the haze demo a spin for a few nights. And if I like what I see, if it is indeed the Halo of the Playstation Three, then it just might find itself boughted.
If I have the time to get bored to death with GTA IV before Fallout III comes out in the fall. And if I resist staring up COD 4 again. And if I manage to resist MGS5. Oh, and I was planning to play through Drake's Fortune again, on the hardest setting. And I'm still less than halfway through Oblivion on my third character. And I was going to check out Viking, that's right. And Age of Conan on the PC...
Lots of if's stacked up against poor Haze. Well, the good thing is that it's pretty hard to claim that there are "No games for the PS3" any more. Too many games, too little (spare) time. Maybe I should become a "pro gamer" again (as in "unemployed slob"

+1 for too many games at the moment, I've still got all last years to finish off, Oblivion, last boss in Heavenly Sword (although I started that again because I loved the 3rd chapter), DiRT, Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted, RFOM, Motorstorm for a start, Crisis Core, God Of War on the PSP, going through old Final Fantasies, Final Fantasy 12 via BC, tempted to do Ico again. Then there's all the recent stuff I haven't got like COD4, Burnout etc, the PC bits like Bioshock, Stalker, C&C3... ARGH. Not enough hours. Plus 'no ending' games like Warhawk soaking up my time.

Either my monitor is too dark, or my eyesight is failing.
I certainly hope that a midget 5 miles away couldn't kill me at that range.
