HAWX European Assault DLC tomorrow News

Xbox 360 PlayStation 3 News by Robert Purchese

22 April, 2009

Ubisoft will release the HAWX European Assault Pack on PS3 and Xbox 360 tomorrow.

The extra content costs 400 Microsoft Points (GBP 3.40 / EUR 4.80) or USD 4.99 (European price TBC).

Inside are some aeroplanes we've never heard of that are probably made in this neck of the woods.

There's pointy-nosed Dassault Rafale, the double-winged Saab-37 Viggen and a pair of Mirage planes that use nuclear bombs. The delta-winged FB-22 prototype bomber and experimental XA-20 Razorback are in there, too.

Wonderful. More planes to fly which behave in exactly the same way as all the other planes in the game.

If there's anything about this game that needed variety it's how the planes handled. More "Horse armour" for HAWX

Poor developers being forced to make this rubbish when they could have made a plane which fires smaller planes, or something similarly epic.

Adding planes is completely pointless, new levels are the only DLC this game needs! It's a great but short game that could have been extended with additional missions but instead they've chosen to cop out and release rubbish.

The FB-22 and XA-20 are already available for download for free. You just have to sign up for some crappy VIP service.

Unless the nuke planes let me drop nukes and get 7 free kills, I'm not interested.

Exactly. This game is cool in a pure stupid fun way, but a having an A-10 that can break the sound barrier like *ALL* the other planes is just ultra stupid. Yes, more stupid than the pilot killing J-Turns and the 180 missile carrying capability.

Plane selection was more down to which one you liked the look of best than anything else.
