HAWX doesn't slip after all News

News by Robert Purchese

25 November, 2008

Correction: Contrary to earlier reports, Ubisoft has not pushed Tom Clancy's HAWX back further into 2009. The game remains on track for a first-quarter release.

A mistake in the publisher's schedule (something to do with fiscal and calendar quarters) led us to belive that the game had been delayed until after April, but Ubisoft has assured us that this is not the case.

HAWX had, once upon a time, been lining up for a September 2008 release, and has been in playable form for a while - most recently at the Eurogamer Expo held in late October.

Tom Clancy's HAWX is in development for PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.

Head over to our HAWX gamepage for pictures and videos of the game in action.

Is this to make it less enormously generic than it seemed at EG Expo? I was hugely unimpressed by it, as was my friend who's normally a massive Tom Clancy fanboy.

Can't see this being good enough to replace Warhawk but I'll give it a go.

It'd be nice for Ace Combat to actually have some competition.

Cancelled my pre-order for this a few weeks ago. Was hoping for more of a sim type flight game but it's looking more and more like an Afterburner type game which quells any interest i had. Shame.

I hope it's an Ace Combat clone. If that's the case, I'm in.

I REALLY want this game to be Games for Windows Live. I still have a Saitek X35, and if I can get it on PC and use that stick but still play over Xbox live I will be one happy chap.

Anyone know if this is planned for GFWL?
