Harvey Birdman for US only

"Very unlikely" for Europe.

Capcom Europe has said the chances of us seeing the Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law games here are slim.

The publisher's American arm has just announced that a Wii version will join PS2 and PSP offerings in the US this November.

But, because the cartoon show on which they are based is less well-known in Europe, it'll be "very unlikely" the games will appear here.

Harvey Birdman Attorney at Law is a comedy cartoon series shown in the US on Adult Swim. It follows the adventures of a firm populated by superheroes and characters from 1960s Hanna-Barbera shows, particularly Birdman and the Galaxy Trio.

What follows is tongue-in-cheek investigation and evidence gathering before striding into the court room and smashing your opponent's case - using whatever means necessary.

Devoted fans will be sore at the loss, then, especially given Capcom's success with Phoenix Wright. But there's always the import option.

Head over to the Adult Swim website to find out more about the collection of celebrated shows.

Totally awesome series, too bad I don't own a PSP because I'd like to play this, but alas, no PAL PS2 version. Shame.

Never seen a full show and the clips i saw didn't grab me so i'm not bothered but you can always import anyway as there's no region protection and the Americans speak a form of English so language isn't an issue. ;)

PSP version imported then. Adult Swim is on fairly frequently here in blighty though, on paramount iirc. Maybe BBC3 should pick up on it.

How long before someone sets up another Capcom petition?

    BRIIIIIING EEEEEEET!!

    Got no PS2 or PSP
Wii is region locked (THANK NINTENDO YOU BLOODY IDIOTS).

Show is GENIUS - I won't be able to play unless Capcom are sensible and don't region lock the Wii version. Go on Mr Capcom region free Birdman PLEASE!

capcom can sell bucketloads of games without a tv license with unheard of characters as it was a good game, presuming this is a good game why cant they do the same with this :-/

So how are we supposed to import this and play it on our UK PS2/PS3s? Pray tell. Another reason why region control sucks.

Looks like the Swap Magic discs will be dusted off once again for this one. It's a pity about threre being no UK release though; fair enough if you own a PSP and you can just import it, or if you have a PS2 as importing is cheap and easy, but I can't see any way of getting around this if you own the Wii.

Then again if the show really is that obscure outside the US I suppose it's in Capcom's interests to not bother with a PAL release. Still annoying for the European game players who were looking forward to it though.

    OBJECTION!

    Overruled!

Perhaps a quick word with Judge Mentok the Mind Taker will sort them out.

Well that makes the decision to buy a US Wii so much easier. I'm still waiting for Trauma Centre AND Super Paper Mario to be released in New Zealand! No wonder we're one of the few territories in the world where PS3 is selling well in comparison.
