RTS always involve the same winning technique - just simply build a large amount of units, then attack with all units - you never lose!

Er, what?

Please try that in Rise of Nations, or Company of Heroes, or any Total War game, or even Starcraft, and then report back.

I also offer to play against you in an online match where you do just that, and I don't.

Goes to show how little strategy is needed to play the game, when you didn't even use flank attacks and such...or perhaps you never played a good RTS on a pc before?

And where do I sound imcompetent? I finished the game with ease. Even my 6 year old son could finish the game. And he can't even understand English.

"Killzone 2 was better. And that coming from my mouth...ouch...
"

how can you compare an RTS and an FPS?

If it came down to story.. at least Halo wars has one, and characters, and a lack of hateful potty mouths.

But yes you can't compare the good gameplay elements in both at all.

Most console gamers couldn't give a toss about PC games or whathaveyou.

I could care less about spending hours harvesting resources, that's incredibly tedious in games like CC. I think of all the rts I have played, this dealt with that the best.

I guess you just have to play some more recent PC RTSs because frankly the basebuilding mechanic has been shelved in most big strategy games.

Because you boys can't read: I said if a PS3 (in this case Killzone 2) has got me more interested than an Xbox game (Halo Wars) than this is news. I didn't compare gameplay, because you simply can't. But fact remains enjoyment(KillZone 2) > enjoyment (Halo Wars). Says it all, ainnit?

Halowarsstrategy.com is looking for the best user submitted strategies. If you think you can beat this strategy, submit it to the site. Otherwise, try it in your next match!

The best leader for a Marine Rush is Captain Cutter. Check out my Halo Wars strategy.

Captain Cutter Elephant Turtle

To execute this Halo Wars strategy, your starting build order should be Supply Pad, Supply Pad, Reactor, Turret, Supply Pad, and Turret. While you are building the Supply Pads, a good Halo Wars strategy will require you to move your Warthog to collect supplies, where they can add to your much needed supplies to start your Turtle strategy. Once you have produced your second Turret, a good Halo Wars strategy will require you to build an Elephant for its’ defensive capabilities, and then a Field Armory to upgrade the Turrets. A good Halo Wars strategy will take advantage of Turrets and Elephant, their upgrades, and the infantry producing ability of the Elephant. The goal of this Halo Wars strategy is to sustain an early blow from your opponent, and quickly counter-attack while your opponent is vulnerable. Also, don’t forget to use your Disruption Bomb to fend off a Covenant Leader Rush strategy as part of your UNSC Halo Wars strategy. This Halo Wars strategy will fail if you waste too many of your resources expanding to a new base.
