It's like the boxart for a futuristic Airfix kit and I love it.

Not really, the stories mention how they die by the truckloads over the years.

Comand and Conquer 3 and Battle for Middle Earth both worked very well on the 360 using the dual analogue sticks, and what little we've seen of this so far has shown they've made many more refinement to the control set up, fixing what few problems C&C3 had. The elitest PC fanboys can continue to claim controllers don't work for RTS games, just as they did (and still do) for FPS, but the fact is, it just isn't true anymore.
I'd love to see more RTS released on consoles. Just PLEASE include a system link option.

I would much rather have had a full fledged rts that had a wireless mouse add-on but I suppose this will have to do.

And as good as C&C was, sometimes you just need a damned drag and drop box.

Every RTS has to have a third faction these days.

Command & Conquer + Halo Universe - FPS = Massive Win!

You know, with HUD stuff etc. These aren't true screenshots.

Apparently the HUD will be almost non existent. It will be more of a instant action skirmish game.
>but the backgrounds look smudged to hell.
Errr... seems like EG zoomed in extremely on some of those. There are only 3 new ones actually, the rest are zoomed in details (hence the blurrrrrr).

I mean I know its not to be released for a while, but from these pictures it needs a new graphics engine ASAP, I mean the backgrounds must be a whole 2 textures, and judging by where the screenshots start to go blurry, the draw distance will force you to play at starcraft zoom levels, as opposed to the supreme commander levels I prefer, i.e. a long way out, but still with the units rendered as units, and not symbols.
@mcmonkeyplc - RTS on 360, at best its going to be a 7.5/10 due to the lack of control necessary - and before anyone starts bitching, the controls used on consoles are work-arounds, not real controls that allow the necessary management.

I suggest you read up on what HW is supposed to be/do.

My worry for this game is the lack of units and originality. All it is now is another Humans vs Aliens RTS
Comment below viewing threshold Show
Also, why is the scale of the units messed up. Grunts, same size as spartans?!

Still wanna know how it plays, though. Never played C&C on a console, so can't compare, but it looks meant for a mouse judging by these screens. Maybe it'll have a Pikmin-style central character or something... or individual unit controlling, at least.
