Halo: Reach beta dated
Starts this May. "Big", apparently.
Microsoft has announced that the Halo: Reach beta will kick off on 3rd May.
It's "on track to be the largest beta programme of its kind on any console" according to the press release.
Halo: Reach is due out this autumn on Xbox 360 and beta access is guaranteed for people who bought Halo 3: ODST.
The announcement came at the platform holder's X10 event in San Francisco, where it's showing off the likes of Alan Wake, Reach and Fable III to journalists from around the world, including us.

I don't get it. You either test it or you don't. How can a beta be 'big'? If it is an open beta, it's a demo.

Sigh...
If anyone wants to be surprised by the game stick your fingers in your ears for 6 months. Correction the "hype" started this month in EDGE.
I sometimes wish they every game company would stop hyping their stuff so early... especially with properties that people are intimately familiar with already. You have an aufience - STFU until a month before release.
Its getting worse that Christmas starting in October - bah humbug!

I agree with you there, Bioware pretty much ran the ME2 market train at full steam for far too long, however in this case if they are bring a beta/MP demo in may I can see the jusitfication to let people know now. Mainly as thier hoping that people kno knowing this will run out and grab a copy of ODST for the access. They should get it anyway as its still a fun entry in the halo games.
