While the game sounds a bit weak, the track list sounds superb. I wish all those were on one disc of any of Guitar Hero or Rock Band.

And finally, in the curiously titled "Modern" category, there's stuff from the Foo Fighters ("The Pretender"), The Smashing Pumpkins ("Tarantula") and other bands I've never heard of because I'm 31.

+1 & applause.

There are a couple of songs in this game I wish had made it into GHWT.
I will however not be playing this game on my DS, as I draw the line of silliness at standing in front of the TV with a plastic guitar.

I've said it many times before, if you get hand cramp playing you're rubbish at games. If you try to blame the controls by saying "Once again, the control system doesn't quite work", you're also rubbish at games.

Not that I'd disagree with the review in general, they haven't made much of an effort to change much in the game (drumming on the touch screen is one of many ideas they haven't even tried and got wrong). I do like being able to access all the songs from both games in co-op though.

I picked this up for £14.99, game only, at Game. EG didn't like the first one either but I think it worth a 7/10 if you can get it for 15 quid or less.

what kind of dumb statement is this? by your logic, everybody could release total shit controllers and just say "they're not bad to play with, you just suck"

If you are thinking of getting this or the other ds guitar hero you should stop and take a look at Elite Beat Agents. Its a great dance game on the ds that uses the stylus to tap at circles in that pop up in time with the music. It dosn't involve hand cramp, good selection of songs, good learning curve, its got a bit of humor and you dont need to buy anything else to play it.

Yep. You do suck.
I'm kidding, you don't suck ;) My point is the controls themselves are fine, other wise I couldn't, for example, 5 star tracks consistently. The control system for this game is fine. Inferior to a proper Guitar Hero game granted, but they work.

I never got into that game, tried it but its essentially same and i couldn't be bothered going through the easy levels again especially to music i've never heard before.
