Guitar Hero IV this year
British band The Answer in it.
Guitar Hero IV will be released at the end of 2008, according to an unlikely press release from British band The Answer.
Its song "Never Too Late" will feature in the line-up, apparently, after being picked out at the Marché international de l'édition musicale (or Midem conference) held at the end of January.
More than 200 songs were submitted by music companies at the enormous industry trade fair, and Activision (plus experts) chose just 20 of them to appear in Guitar Hero IV.
The Answer are obviously chuffed to bits, as sales of the rhythm-action series and its downloadable content have boosted participating bands' sales in the past.
"This is a tremendous honour and privilege for both The Answer and the Alberts label," said James Cassidy, UK boss of music label Alberts.
"With a new album due later this year we look forward to taking the band to a whole new level of international success."
Meanwhile, Activision UK stuck to no comment.

Brilliant news for the Downpatrick lads. Nice to see a band from the home country reaching success! But definately Bonus Setlist material.

20 tracks sounds a bit poor - I presume that's just from new-ish bands and there will be plenty of "classic" stuff on offer too.

I'll give this game two more editions until people start to lose interest.

So how can they justify GH4 without MAJOR gameplay changes (unlikely)

A new game every 2 or 3 years is far better. That way games have a longer life and stay fresh. Have the devs work on something new for christ sakes. This time next year CoD and GH will be more stale than 6 month old bread.

Rockband as well. It would be annoying to see a RockBand 2, just release the content as DLC and pass the distribution cost saving on to the customer.
/wakes up, stops dreaming.
