Guinness World Records game coming
To Wii and DS this autumn.
A new game based around Guinness World Records is coming to Wii and DS this autumn.
Titled Guinness World Records: The Videogame, it's being developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros.
Plenty of "quick-fire action challenges" are promised, and you'll be able to play solo or in teams.
"Accessible game mechanics enable anyone to grow the longest fingernails ever seen, to walk a tightrope across the Grand Canyon, or even eat a jumbo jet," the press release reads.
"But true skill and dedication will be required to compete at the highest level. The ultimate prize: you may see your name appear in the official Guinness World Records book!"
Speaking of books, it's always worth remembering the Guinness World Records Gamer's Edition 2008 is out now and available on Amazon for a criminally cheap GBP 4.44. Packed with gaming facts, trivia, hints and tips, it represents a pinnacle of human achievement and has been hailed by many critics as quite simply the best book ever written. The fact me and Oli and Dan Whitehead helped write it is entirely coincidental.

If this is the direction games are going to be taken for the next generation (not this gen, but the next one coming), then I want to part in it.
