Guilty Gear 2: Overture coming to 360

Will be exclusive to Microsoft's console.

The latest instalment in the Guilty Gear series has been confirmed as an Xbox 360 exclusive.

Guilty Gear 2: Overture is due out in Q3 of this year. Hot tactical melee action is promised along with refined mechanics, plus new items, skills, tweaks and modes not seen in the original import. You'll have up to 50 troops you can deploy to help you win the various wars going on.

Multiplayer deathmatch is promised, with Team Battle and Free-For-All options to choose from. Up to four players will be able to compete over Xbox Live.

"Guilty Gear 2: Overture retains a lot of elements that the fighting games are known for, so it's cool to see how familiar moves like the Gun Flame make the transition to 3D," said project lead Michael Manzanares

"Except now, though, you're facing off against an entire army instead of just one character. You'll lose - badly - if you think you're a one-man army, so you definitely have to remember that you have your own army to command."

Guilty Gear: Overture is out in "Q3" of this year, so some time in autumn.
