GTA IV 360 episodes in "fall" News

Xbox 360 News by Tom Bramwell

20 February, 2008

Microsoft has revealed that the Grand Theft Auto IV downloadable content it has signed up for 360 will be released in the autumn.

"On April 29th we're thrilled to have Grand Theft Auto IV from Rockstar Games on our platform from day one," John Schappert said during his GDC keynote address at the Moscone Center in San Francisco today.

"Along with downloadable exclusive episodes...starting fall 2008."

Two episodes have been mentioned so far, while it's been widely rumoured and half-confirmed that Microsoft paid Rockstar millions for the privilege of enjoying them exclusively.

GTA IV launches, as John says, on 29th April worldwide - for 360 and PS3.

The more talk there is of 360's DLC deal the more I assume that the next GTA will purposely be shorter than the previous versions. Rockstar probably have a 100% content filled game, but they'll chop about 25% off and make you lot buy it via downloads.

That they already have set dates in mind pretty much suggests it.

Hopefully this DLC is a Microsoft exclusive rather than 360 exclusive.

Stop talking out your arse. They said the DLC would be spring before the delay happened. So 5-6 months sounds about right.

Of course they expect us to pay for it, they need to make the millions they spent on it back somehow.

Of course they won't expect you to pay for it. On the proviso that you don't expect to get to play it.

Or in other words, what the last four guys said.

Ha, just realised the missus is away when this comes out, roll on late nights getting wasted then trying to drive a fellow goon home without crashing (in game, of course :D).

CAN'T WAIT!
