GRID demo leads PSN update
Plus Guitar Hero 3 and Army of Two DLC.
The Bourne Conspiracy demo is not actually on the European Store. We're sorry about the mixup, we were acting on what Sony had told us and not, it seems, what turned out to be true.
However, you can get it from the US Store, but will have to wait until 22nd May for it here.
Elsewhere on the European Store is the GRID demo we told you about yesterday, which gives you a shot at winning a BMW if you can post one of the five fastest lap times on the leaderboard.
Otherwise there are the belated Def Leppard and Muse track packs for Guitar Hero 3, as well as the Army of Two SSC Challenge Map Pack. All cost GBP 3.99 (EUR 5).
It's also worth pointing out that there are 12 trailers from the recent PlayStation Day to look at, although you can see most of these already on Eurogamer TV.
Still no echochrome, then. But you can always read our review to find out why it wasn't quite as essential as we previously thought.

Judging from the two PSN/XBL demoes, the 360 version of GRID is the way to go

I agree. If you have both consoles, the 360 version of GRID just pips PS3 to the post by having anti-aliasing, and the controller works better with it too.
This isn't to say the PS3 looks or plays bad - mid-race you won't notice the jaggies, and the framerate is just as solid - so PS3 owners won't lose out. In fact, I picked up the wrong controller a few times when I was testing them side by side - it was that close.

Bourne is just a game of cutscene after cutscene and the driving section of the game....was that meant to be some sort of a joke.
GRID just doesn't feel like a good racing game at all. I'm just thankful that GT5 is something to look forward to when it finally bloody comes out.

They are only there to broaden the market for this game, but racingfans should just switch them off.
By the way, I love GRID

I have
Still very arcade... not a bad thing IMO... but far from the old TOCA/Race Driver games reg. handling and physics.

An honest mistake, don't treat it as something that ruined your weekend.

just making a point. all they had to do was check the store themselves.
is that asking too much?

Just finished watching the replay. My god this is AW-SOME.
Haven't had this feeling since... well... since DTM3

I felt handling in Dirt was spot on, but in GRID some of the realism has been lost.
The cars move too fast, there's less feeling of connection with the road and the surfaces have less grip than you would expect.
Physics are good, but with extremes turned up it gets an arcadey vibe.
Drifting - why, I don't need that pointless shit.
On the positive side interaction with other cars and damage is excellent which makes for fun racing. GT in comparison may be prettier but sterile.
Based on the demo I can't help feeling that an opportunity for something really special has been wasted.

Got the Bourne demo on 360 ages ago from GAME...... random QuickTime events and slow loading FT fucking L!
Fighting feels really good though if utterly basic. Indeed, stick with the demo and you have seen every facet of the entire game. Fighting, racing, shooting, QT hell.
