GRID 8 Ball DLC arrives today
New cars, modes, Achievements.
Codemasters has raced new cars out for Race Driver: GRID on Xbox 360 and PS3.
The 8 Ball pack, which we first heard about in September, costs 800 Microsoft Points (GBP 6.80 / EUR 9.60) on Xbox Live, or GBP 6.29 / EUR 7.99 on the PlayStation Store, which uses real money and not some invented currency that might as well be twigs and biscuits.
Inside the 8 Ball pack is an array of purring motors: McLaren F1 GTR, TVR Cerbera Speed 12, Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, Honda S2000, Nissan GT-R (S-G2008), VW Nardo, Pontiac Firebird Trans AM and Volvo C30.
We've parked these in a handy Race Driver: GRID - 8 Ball DLC garage-gallery for you to peruse.
On top of those are a couple of multiplayer modes to freshen things up, and 100 extra Gamerpoints - four Achievements - for Xbox 360 owners.
These are awarded for winning an online race in each of the new cars, achieving a 99x combo in a Honda S2000, clocking up over 250 miles in one the 8 Ball vehicles, or winning a clean race by coming from behind in an 8 Ball car.

Any idea what these are because 800 points for a few car skins is way over priced, 400 I would have just got them but 800 is a decent XBLA game.

Maybe a new track or a few new tracks. You could buy braid for that price(nearly)

Also - interesting to observe that Sony have raised their prices to the point that their DLC stuff is now more expensive than the 360 equivalent at RRP :/
400 points might've tempted me, 800 points is too much.

The PC version of the DLC is being worked on.
Because there are just so many different set ups for PCs, testing takes alot longer. When we know more, we will spread the word!

Whilst it's super to have some (overpriced) 360 DLC for GRID, I would like to speak for all and say
WHAT ABOUT THE MAIN GRIPE OF NOT BEING ABLE TO CHOOSE TO RACE A PARTICULAR CAR
ON A PARTICULAR TRACK ONLINE?
