GRAW 2 Xbox 360 demo mooted

SP version on Marketplace 'soon'.

The exact timing may be fuzzier than a ghost's night vision camera, but Ubisoft is definitely claiming that a demo of Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 will appear on Xbox Live Marketplace.

That's according to the game's official website, where a banner advertises a single-player demo. It's due "soon" apparently.

The news comes just days after Ubisoft confirmed release dates for the hotly anticipated shooter sequel. Following the first version's success, the Xbox 360 release will be first out of the door on 9th March.

Last Friday, the publisher confirmed that a PC version would follow on 30th March. The PS3 take is due out at "launch" which, as we discovered last week, is on 23rd March.

What's more, a PSP version is listed on Ubi's most recent schedule - also due out on 30th March.

Look out for more on GRAW 2 in the near future. In the meantime, why not check out its gamepage for all sorts of details, shots and trailers.

Hmmm it's all come together quite quickly hasn't it?Like they're doing an EA and cashing in on the franchise whilst it's still very popular, but not actually making that many improvements along the way.
Could be good, but I wasn't a big fan of the original so i'll pass.

Building engines costs money, lots of it. This way, they get more money from an engine. Why do you think valve does episodes instead of new games?

I thought the first game wasn't as good as it should have been. The multiplayer was little more than a hi-def Ghost Recon 2 and the single player was a letdown, glitch-ridden and suffering from some god-awful A.I., I managed to complete it but never really enjoyed it as much as the previous two games on the Xbox.

Here's hoping that this new game addresses all the issues of the previous game but somehow I doubt it will as given the very short development time, it's must really be an expansion pack rather than a true a sequel but sticking a 2 in front of the title means Ubisoft can charge £49.99 RRP for it instead of £29.99. Clever... ;)

I haven't played the original for like, 9 months or something, tried it yesterday picking up where I'd left off (storming the castle) and got killed successively within a minute, 4 times on the trot.

Is it worth my effort trying to get back into it to complete it?

Darren, it's already been confirmed that the AI is receiving a major overhaul.

I do wish that you would read up on more about a game before jumping to conclusions, slagging it off, and potentially putting off possible buyers! ;o)

The first certainly had moments (opening level; bits of the helicopter gunfights; rooftop racing to clear for your tanks) but I too felt generally underwhelmed with the whole. If they're able to focus on more set pieces and less rubbish levels I'll certainly buy in again.

i liked GRAW. SP was fun, but i haven't played it (incidentally) 9 months either.

I am (like the other guy) stuck in the castle level (that's the one with the chopper giving you hell right?)..And i kept dying there (its the hard difficulty)

I rarely played MP...but i loved the Co-op. Buut the Oblivion came and i threw out my GRAW disc and never put it back, as new games kept coming:-)

Oh and IGN said that there were some major changes to GRAW2, so im not gonna slag it off.

Personally, I like GRAW, having only recently had a go, but I do think RSV is the superior offering. That game simply rocks da shit, in every way imaginable!

I am past the helicopter sequence. I'm now on the floor, trying to storm the castle. The only reason I went back to it is because I've recently got a new telly and I was working my way through my library of games to see how they all look in proper 1080.
