GTA isn't really that good though. Seen it all before now too.

Talking about your dislike for the previous games I assume, you've not played this one yet.

Article is great =) I'm looking forward to part two aswell. I feel I can believe what is being said because if the trailers are anything to go by, then use the character models and and general art direction of the cityscape and its effects are wonderful!
If all of this is represented outside of the cutscenes and can be noticed throughout actual gameplay then I will constantly praise this game for it's consistancy, because alot of games lack this factor, especially the mainstream ones.

Zomaniac whatever you've been smoking, put it down cos:

QOTSA + RATM > All else (well almost)

Anyway back on topic...

Really hope the time poured into all the small details results in a top notch title (has there ever been a bad GTA?)

Someone who calls himself "Cop_Killa" is complaining about a game with a bad boy gangsta theme?

^ That's probably more accurate.

Never liked QOTSA, if music is gonna be that mindless it needs to be extremely fun/exciting IMO, and it fails there for me. Plus the lead singer is ginger. GINGER.

On topic qualifier: This article has got me excited for the game, and I wasn't really fussed until now. Placed an order after reading it.

@ Cop_Killa

For starters, your name is Cop Killa! Bit GTA that innit?

And I had to laugh at "run around a flat, lifeless city gunning down pedestrians and stealing fast cars"!
I do wonder what versions of GTA you've been playing... Flat? Erm, no. Lifeless? Erm wrong again, sorry.
Plus, the attention to detail that it sounds like has been put into this one is astounding. It is not going to be lifeless...

Roll on Tuesday, when I bet you'll be playing it too :)

The thing that gets me with comments that Cop_Killa makes, is that I wonder what kind of games he *does* play that haven't all been done before.

Let's take a stab...PGR? Driving game, meh.
Halo 3, like Halo 2 - or any other FPS (if you're going to be just as disparaging.)
WoW - Just another MMO...find orc, kill orc, find mage, can't kill mage, get better weapon, kill mage.

Let's face it, they've ALL been done before. There's no reason to think that anything is NEW these days, it's all a twist on a theme. Take the game on its merits, not what its not. You can multiply that with any genre of entertainment, you just can't say it's all been done before and leave it there...he's right, but it's not the answer.
