It's not a bug, it's a feature.

The multiplayer is very fun. Really glad im a 360 owner. Once again the PS3 owners miss out. Atleast the singleplayer game is just as good as the 360 version. Isnt it?

I have the 360 version. Haven't had as much time to play it as I would like but what i have seen has been absolutely incredible!!!!
I have not had any cars dissapear on me, even after a good 10-15 mins. Also, I haven't once had any problems connecting to live either. I would be gutted if I had the PS3 version. Come to think of it I would be gutted if I had a PS3!!!!!!!!!

@ superdelphinus - it's on 360. i'm gonna test it out tonight. if it's really there that's a pretty major bug that should have been easily caught and fixed.

Hmmm strange, where are all the usual guys who continuously bleet utter crap like..
''LOL you have to pay a whole £40 a year for Live, whereas on the PS3 we get it for free and it's exactly the same quality''
It would appear that in some instances that just isn't true huh?
Ohh and I was playing it on Live with 4 mates, Tuesday night, and was actually really impressed, the slowdown was minimal (Only noticeable when 5 cars are getting blown up with rocket launchers) and it pretty much worked as expected, something I wasn't expecting, I thought the servers would literally blow up from the high traffic.

So for free, I get the exact same gaming experience that XBOX Live users are charged £40 a year to play.

End of.

So because both groups are having problems, their problems are exactly the same? Impressive logic.

I actually got a free 12 months free LIVE membership with my purchase of GTAIV at GAME. XBOX LIVE is worth every penny but you can usually get deals that actually never make you pay for it if you are that cheap. The gamestore takes the bill and you keep buying games at the gamestore.

Great! Now please direct swam to GAME so he can stop complaining about a few pennies a week for XBL ;)
PSN is free cause it's not worth paying for...XBL is.

Paying for a P2P service to play with your own bandwidth is worth it now ?

The world is falling. ;)

@Madlax

Yea, uh huh, but spending an arm and a leg for a game system when it had few games at the time was being thrifty, right?
I'm not complaining and I'm paying but you are complaining and you're not even using xbl..jeez.

So I take it Xbox Live doesn't run on any Microsoft servers and when you download a piece of content, the bandwidth is magically streamed from the ether?

Been trying out multiplayer for two days now (on 360) - it's kept me from continuing the okay singleplayer game, so it's pretty good. Cars look good, there's practically no slow-down, and it is just very fun to have the whole environment as your toy.

My favorite mode is Mafiya, since that gives a reason for people to converge on a single point (and mayhem ensues), and gives an alternative approach to things other than just 'blast the other players'. Cops'n'Crooks was much less entertaining, since once you're dead, you need to wait for the whole match to finish.

However... there can be a slight delay in people getting hit and dying from it, it is annoying being unable to jump straight into multiplayer (rather, you have to load the singleplayer game, then play with your cellphone), and the game has frozen on me and an acquaintance three times upon leaving a multiplayer game.

Still, great fun. But I would like it if there was a way to play the singleplayer campaign co-operatively.

Was suprised to see no lag on PSN. There was quite alot traffic and has been since GTA4 launched. Either Sony have very nice servers or it's due to my 108Mbps router :P

I have enjoyed the races. I want to like the other modes but they do seem a bit hit and miss. I have had a good couple of cops n crooks games though.
